Killiane Castle Country House & Farm - Bilder
Hva folk sier
This is an excellent place. We were very impressed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was loads of space on the grounds - a tennis court, a farm walk, lawns. Great place to relax and get away from it all. Because it's limited in the number of rooms the breakfast experience is even better - no bustle of crowds, and the food was great (some of it home-produced from the farm). Even let us take our son out to see the cows being milked in the morning. There was also a small field for . alle vurderinger »
Loved it! Kathleen was so warm and inviting and so was her Country home.
We loved every moment we spent there!! The children had many things to
entertain themselves. The breakfast was amazing as well. There is so
much charm all around that you can't help get taken away by it. Our
favourite stop in all of our nights in Ireland!!.
Killiane Castle is set in a lovely country side area. The house itself is very clean and homely. Breakfast was lovely with a good choice for the healthy and not so healthy (fry). We loved the large bed, im 6months pregnant so there was plenty of room for me to get into a comfortable spot lol. we will definately be back.
The Mernaghs are extraordinary hosts. Gracious, welcoming, yet professional. The farmhouse is beautiful and spotlessly clean. The decor, lovely, elegant really. Lounging areas very comfortable. Coffee, tea, bisquits all day and many books about Irish history and surrounding area. We love it there! Recommend to everyone.
We really enjoyed exploring the remains of the castle and taking the farm walk, especially with the very able assistance of our tour guide, Penny the brown dog. The breakfast was excellent, and we appreciated that some of the food came right from the farm. The hosts were friendly and helpful.
I really loved my 3 days/nights stay.
The house was beautiful, the breakfast the best I have ever had and Jack and Kathleen were such good hosts. I really enjoyed my walk on the farm and their dog 'Penny'. I am recommending it to my family and friends ever since! and can't wait to return.
This is a wonderful experience with the 14th Century Castle and the wonderful country setting. We were made so welcome and we were looked after so well. Breakfast is amaziing with home made breads, scones, fruit compots and Yoghurts. I highly recommnend this tranquil setting.
What a thrill being next to the castle and staying in the perfectly
classic and elegant but comfortable farmhouse. Kathleen is the loveliest
and most sweet, warm and kind hostess. Great breakfast and biscuits
always there for you. We loved our stay at Killiane Castle Farm!.
Beautiful hotel integrated with a scenic old castle ruin. Impeccable and well-maintained décor. The hostess is very gracious. Breakfast features excellent home made specialties such as home-made yogurt, brown bread, and more. Location is short drive from Rosslare ferry.
Children were invited to join the farmers to watch the cows being
milked, they got to feed the new calves and got to collect eggs!! Best
time ever they said.No problem getting kids up each morning as they
didn`t want to miss any farming jobs !!.
Staying with the Mernagh family in a gorgeous home next to a castle on a working farm was incredible. Jack and kathleen and Collin were gracious and very helpful. The room was beautiful, breakfast delicious, and I got to milk a cow!.
The 'old world' feel of the castle/house and surroundings. The location set well back from the busy N25 down a leafy driveway. The variety of breakfast options and a bottomless cup of coffee served by kind and caring staff member.
Killiane Castle was luxurious and friendly. Our bedroom was beautiful
and the food for breakfast was amazing. Kathleen who runs it, was so
friendly and welcoming and had loads of recommendations for places to
eat in Wexford.

Beautiful feeling of comfort & relaxation from beginning to end. Made to feel like part of the family & nothing too much trouble. Very beautiful building and lovely and peaceful to relax.
It was like a retreat. So peaceful. The only sounds were the birds singing in the morning. I needed a break from the craziness of life as a working mother and this ticked all the boxes for me!.
Charming host Kathleen. Very quiet, so slept with windows open, undisturbed. Very comfortable room.
Excellent breakfast with proper butter and marmalade, well cooked food, fresh hot coffee.

A fitting word to describe the owner is grace. We were made to feel very welcome. The breakfast was outstanding, the best of our two week trip to Ireland.

Staff and breakfast.
we only stayed one night so there was nothing we didnt like!! abit scary climbing to the top of the tower, but its a must!!!!.
It was considerably more pricey than the other B&Bs where we stayed in Ireland, with no remarkably better amenities, although the breakfast was a cut above some of them.
Nothing!!.
Nothing.
No complaints at all except our stay was too short:-).
Nothing.
Only being able to stay for one night as had to catch the ferry!!!.
Next time ask for a first floor room, the second floor is a long way up!.
time went to fast.
too old fashioned, too much carpets, needs refurbishing, not suitable for elderly or disabled with stairs, would need lift. too overdone with old furnishings which just look dated in rooms.
Was a bit hard to find with the directions that were available, the ice cream shop in town came to the rescue though!.
The climb up the stairs was hard on my sister. Perhaps one room for handicapped would be wonderful, but I understand the desire to keep things as they are.
No restaurants within walking distance owing to country location.
An agressive cow!.
A bit hard to find but worth it.
nothing.
Nothing at all!.
The room was a bit cold, even with the heat on. The farm walk was not
landscaped or trimmed up so we ended up walking through 2 feet of grass
and couldn't tell where the path was.
Nothing.
We wanted to be charged in Euros but that was not possible. Owner said
she would look into having this changed.
Sign-posting.
Nothing.
no wireless reception in bedroom.
Nothing.
No restaurant/bar. Little over-priced.
Isolation.
