  They let us check in early and were very friendly. The two-bedroom was plenty of space for a group of 2 couples. The location is right by the shopping area and a short walk to Temple Bar, but far enough away that it was quiet at night. Daily housekeeping brought fresh towels, which was unexpected.   Location was the only reason we decided on this hotel and it was really worth it. We never used any transport except of tour buses - evetything is a short wack far (quays, Temple bar, the Trinity college). It is situated at O'Connell street where one can find everything he wants - tourist information, hop on buses, one day tours, airport coach, sh... hva folk sier » opping, pubs and a lot of fast food. We went to Powerscourt by a tour bus -five minutes from the hotel.Breakfasts are really great.In the room you hav - The location was extremely convenient to major Dublin sites. It was very quiet at night (I stayed previously in the Temple Bar area and the revelry at night made it impossible to sleep). Breakfast was excellent. Staff (at reception desk, dining room, and housekeeping) were friendly and super-helpful. WiFi connection was very strong. Room was comfortable. Area very safe. Is across the street from the Gate teater where I saw 2 excellent plays, and less than 5 minutes from supermarket, department

  Easily found at the top of OConnell and a little to the right, right above Fibber McGees. Couldnt have got better location for the money spent. Very clean room, dont be fooled by the old exterior, the rooms are modern, clean, and the breakfast is worth the early wakeup call. No hassle leaving our suitcase after midday checkout so we could get some shopping in before our 4 - I am very happy I stayed at the Gate Hotel, the service is wonderful, the location could not be better, I was treated with attention. It was my first time in Dublin and they explained to me how to reach to places, gave me full guidance and even helped me get the best spots for shopping. There is also an area downstairs that connects with local pubs that is very nice and you can hear live music or chill and have a beer in other pubs without having to move out of the hotel. I fully recommend it;
