Great location without being right in the middle of the city centre.
Really friendly staff. I stayed in a twin room and it was exceptionally
clean, not a cobweb in sight despite the tall ceilings. Lovely warm
rooms. The associated thai restaurant downstairs was amazing -
fantastic food.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, There was no problem with a late check out which was ideal as we had been out socializing the night before.Hotel was in an ideal location with restaurants and shops and pubs nearby.alle vurderinger »
Staff were fantastic and organised a late dinner for me. This was very
much appreciated as I was tired and hungry! It was right in the middle
of Kilkenny and the onsite parking was handy as well. I will
definitely go back!.
Located in the heart of where we wanted to be. Loads of places locally to get breakfast so no issue for me and my mate. Big gang of us stayed across five hotels but I think we got the best.
The rooms were lovely the staff were friendly and pleasant and the food was excellent. I loved the music in the bar at night and the atmosphere was good. I will def be back again.
For the price I can honestly say it was spot on. Room was small but had a super comfy double bed.
I stayed in a smaller room in a new york hotel and paid five times more. :-).
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the townhouse was in an ideal location. We were a group of 18 staying for one night and we all enjoyed our stay.
Paul, the host at yindees which is located at the ground floor was just wonderful. He could not have been
more helpful.! What an asset to the place !!!!.
I liked the B&B's central location to the shopping and everything else! The staff was very helpful as well in recommending places to go and see :).
The woman running the hotel was absolutely fantastic! She was so lovely, even printing us out bus timetables for the next day.
This is a great place to stay. It's great value, clean and very comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. I can't fault it!.
Rooms clean and comfortable. Staff very helpful and friendly. Located in the heart of Kilkenny and close to everything.
The location was great. It was connected to the restaurant next door,
which was where check-in took place.
I liked the excellent location and friendly staff. I also liked the price!.
The staff were very nice, especially Kate, who was very accommodating.
I really liked the friendly staff who could not of done more for me.

Great location..
Clean rooms.
Location. very good location.close to the city centre.
The lady who cleaned our rooms was very nice and friendly. The
location was good.
It is very centrally located, within walking distance of Kilkenny's castle.
The location right in the centre of Killkenny.
Location is good. Nothing else was positive.
Room clean. Staff friendly.
Location is perfect.
Convenient location.
There was no parking available free of charge, room did not contain a hair dryer or tea/coffee facilities, and the room we were located in was over head an alarmed barrier which went off each time a car exited the car park which made for an unpleasant sleep.
Although it was absolutely perfect for me and I had no complaints
about it, the room may have been considered a little small. However, I
only literally needed a bed for the night and I felt the room was
lovely and cosy.
the noise of generator outside our window if the window was open but when the window was closed it was fine. I would def come back again.
Nothing...
We were aware that the rooms were small and basic so this wasnt an issue, the only thing i would say is the rooms could have had tea facilities in them as we had a few older people with us who would have appreciated this.
parking was 8.50 overnight!.
Not a thing.
Would have liked a kettle and hairdryer in the room.
Very basic - room and washroom. The washroom had closet-style doors that
did not close fully. No common area, lobby, breakfast or parking
(parking was available at the hotel next door for 8.50 Euro a night.
There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
Although the thai smelled amazing downstairs, the smells did linger.
Noise from traffic early morning as windows had to be opened due to heatwave.
No hairdryer in room
No water kettle (most B&Bs have one).
Wasn't able to turn of the heating. As the room was very small (single room) the heat was nearly unbearable and I had to keep the window open to compensate.
It would be great to have those two extra items. They don't cost much and they can make a big difference. Its great having a cup of tea after arrival or in the morning. Especially because they don't serve breakfast or have any facilities / no common room.
Would have liked tea making facilities.
No breakfast included.
Available TV channels.
Parking was hard to figure out. Pay parking was available in the
hotel lot behind the building. Just don't miss the alley when
traffic is heavy.
Rooms were quite small.
No hot water for showering.
It was a bit cold.
nothing.
Small rooms and stairs.
the room was cold and their wasent any where to make cuppa tea in the room their was no kettle to boil water to make tea their was no breakfast.
Rooms were very small, tiny bathroom. Not a room where you could chill
and watch tv for a while. Very small tv. Arrived in Kilkenny at 13:00
and had to wait for 3 hours before premises opened. Parking cost me €17
in the nearby hotel (River court). Bath could have been cleaner. Rooms were very warm.
A bit on the pricey side, although it was a bank holiday weekend.
very noisy we paid a lot more than anyone else for the same room some of our rooms were not cleaned properly there was still dirt in the bins in the bathrooms . our bed covers although very clean were ripped all along one side.
McCourts was hard to find. On very busy road. Very squashy room. Very noisy at night.
All small problems but enough to avoid a return stay....room was tiny (door opened onto end of bed), radiator thermostat not working so the room was stifling hot, no soap in bathroom, no hangers.
There was another door outside my door which led into the corridor I was on .
It opened over my door ,which made it a fire trap .if there was a fire it would block me from escaping ,the corridor door should open in the opposite direction ,so it wouldn't block my door .I can't see how that passed an inspection ???.
Room size
Decor.
Definately no frills, not even shower gel.
No breakfast
Extremly noisy as we were at the front of the house....
Had to drop key in the box in the morning & no body to complain the noise to in the morning .
The stairs had a really stench of rice coming from the restaurant below.
Also a lot of noise from the street. The room was very small and
didn't hava any place to put the lugagge. Alot of noise one of the nights I stayed. On arrival I was informed of a special carpark rate in the hotel next door, all I had to do was show my booking ref and that hotel would give me a discount, this did not happen, in fact the hotel receptionist did not seem to happy I asked at all. I rang McCourts Townhouse, left a message with my number and got no reply. Will not stay there again. We had a very small room (good for a single person) overlooking the main road, one chair, small bed and cabinet, no comfort.
It was impossible to check in as there is no reception, I would of
expected that at 3pm in the afternoon on a bank holiday weekend we'd
be able to check into our hotel room, instead we were stood on the
street for half an hour! Also very expensive €90 for a tiny room in a
premises with no facilities is a rip off!.
Expensive for what it is (breakfast not included). Triple room was very cramped. We were there a very hot day and there was no way to keep the room relatively cool (no AC, no fan etc). It was incredibly loud (bar across the street until late at night).
The rooms were small, very sparsely equipped and furnished and noisy
Very poor value for money.
When I arrived had to have cold shower as o hot water.
Room very small and tv stuck up over wardrobe on ceiling.
Won't be returning.
Very small room just room for the bed. T.V. was above the wardrobe the room was so small.
Not the cleanest, no facilities, very noisy and NO hot water in shower! Wasn't cheap either.
Rooms are small, sparsely equipped and decorated, noisy Very poor value for the money.
