This is a wonderful B&B first because the owners, Sheelagh and Domhnall, are so welcoming. I wish I had planned more time to sit and talk with them. The rooms are very nice, clean and comfortable. We were there one night to take in some of the festival. However, it is very well located to visit the Burren, the coast and to get to Shannon Airport. We can strongly recommend it. The proprietor Donald and his wife were very friendly and accommodating. The room size was Ireland standard and very clean. The price was affordable and location was a walkable 15 to 20 min to center of Ennis. Breakfast was very good. Free private parking. Free wireless worked good in our room. Cruises Pub was a good choice for music and food.
alle vurderinger » Beautiful rooms, very friendly family owned b&b, in walking distance to the city centre. They can give you information on all restaurants and pubs, even where you can find which type of music. heartily recommended. really friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble. We felt like family visiting. Only 20 minutes walk into local town but really easy links to major roads for sightseeing. Would not hesitate to stay here again. The hosts Domhnall and Sheelagh were very good. The breakfast was great. When asked for ideas to visit in and around Clare, Domhnall was very knowledgable and gave a number of locations worth seeing. The owners! Very helpful and friendly..provided us with a lot of useful tips fr the downtown area of Ennis. They even prepared fresh, homemad vegetarian pancakes that were not on the breakfast menu!. The staff are super friendly and make you feel so welcome from the moment you walk in. Great location, would definitely stay there again if around that part of the country!. The staff were very friendly, very more than willing to help in any way possible. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic. I cannot fault the Westbrook in any way. The proprietors are very friendly and helpful. They did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. We will recommend the Westbrook House to everyone we know. The room was comfortable and the very friendly and helpful owners made us feel welcome. The location is quiet and not too difficult to reach from the motor way. Closer to the town center of Ennis would have been nicer but it was still walkable 15 to 20 minutes. It is a little bit far out of downtown Ennis if you have no car, but again I think most people going there have one..and parking in the evening is really no problem! anyway I would go there again, if I ever go back to ennis. The room was a bit cold later in the night but it was not freezing by any means. We wish we could have spent more time there!. liked it all. Very little heat - it was very cold on this visit Had to figure out the water system for hot water (finally did!) Toilet took 6 min to complete flush. Hard to find, says Galway road but is actually Goat road. Very plain and just a place to stay. Shower difficult to work. Nothing. TV didnt seem to work but I didnt report it. There was a dead bug on the wall of our bathroom. Poor cleaning. No hot water on the first day of the stay (though it was offset by a discount requested from the owners); persistent noise from some kind of a hydraulic installation at night; worn water taps in the bathroom; extremely squeaky bed; thin window curtain, which made it difficult to sleep after sunrise; Wi-Fi not working in the room. Food, service, late night parties, cold showers.
