Very friendly staff. I had room 201, best choice as great views of the rainforest and with a balcony. A lot of nice areas to hand out during day and read/relax. Great pool and nice restaurant. I'm aware that people were not too happy with the breakfast choice, however 3 different breakfast choices (american, continental and Balinese) that can be changed should be sufficient. Would go back any time.
alle vurderinger » bali spirit hotel is an oasis outside of busy ubud, set on a cliff overlooking a river, so peaceful. Beautiful grounds. The pool is huge with a swim up bar. The surrounding village is fantastic to stroll through with amazing wood carvings. Easy walking distance to city centre (and a pleasant walk through the monkey forest). Lovely outlook from room and balcony. The polite and friendly staff, and the love of nature shown in the gardens, with their frogs, birds, and geckos. Views of river, gardens, food, staff, balcony, statues un the gardens, the hotel itself is beautiful... Location was fantastic if you want to be away from the crowds. Lovely location, great staff, beautifully decorated. the people.. and beautiful place. Staf very helpful. I loved the grounds of the hotel. It felt like we were in the middle of a hillside jungle with gorgeous plants, flowers, and Balinese statues. It was really serene and beautiful. My massage there was really nice. The scenery, so quiet and serene, the food was good but limited choice. Peace and quiet. the hotel has their service area behind room 201 at stages the electric tools were quite loud (however i was out most of the day). The rooms service could show a bit more focus. I would not suggest to book a room with terrace as it has no privacy (people can walk by/through). Breakfast. Welcome drink (orange squash) pretty awful and breakfast very disappointing. Shower stream is too low, personally I prefer showers without tubs.....internet was at times slow....shuttle service should be more frequently ..the wooden bed frame cracks a lot and is shaky..the matras however is good..there is no jacuzzi near the pool....the gardens would look better with more flowers...overall minor things I did not like...I lovedddd my stay and would recommend this hotel to everyone that wants to stay in Ubud.. The food. Quite expensive and while not terrible it certainly wasn't good. The breakfast was pretty limited and portion size was small. a bit expensive. and was lead to believe it was in centre of town,. Poor breakfast. The bed wasn't so comfortable - hard and with a bump in the middle so it wasn't comfortable to snuggle with my new husband. I also think it was pricey, given the location and amenities. It was nice but definitely not luxurious in any way, other than the lovely setting. It's far away from the main part of town so you have to take a shuttle or pay for taxis quite often. For a much lower price, I think it would be worthwhile. Next door neighbor were busy one night The hotel's shuttle bus to Central Ubud forgot to pick us up (along with four other travelers) one night, making us wait for one hour before we called and a bus finally showed up!. Could make more effort with food. We only dined there once... food was very poor.
