  The hotel was very elegant and well presented with a very impressive lobby. The concierge service was excellent, helped us book tickets for a boat cruise and recommended a restaurant that was excellent. There was live piano music in the evening in the lobby/bar area which made it really atmospheric and pleasant to have a drink there. Quality of th... hva folk sier » e drinks was also very good. Rooms are very comfortable and everything looks new, but don't expect a lot of free space. Breakfast was excellent with a - Excellent staff, exceptionally clean and stylish hotel, great facilities, especially the Wellness pools and saunas which were a godsend at the end of a hot day city walking. We could not fault this hotel and will be sure to try and stay here when we visit this wonderful city again. We have already told all our friends how good Continental Hotel Zara was!

  Me and my partner stayed for a long weekend over August bank holiday. We couldn't believe the size of the room for the value that we paid. It had a bathroom with a toilet and shower/bath, an area outside this room with double mirrored wardrobes, with an iron and safe inside. A sink and dressing area, a kitchen (everything in it minus a washing mac... hva folk sier » hine - these where in the corridor, although I'm not sure they are open to the public but they looked like they are) a sofa and table and chairs livin - THis hotel is part of the Marriot Chain. All rooms are ' suites ', very spacious, very luxirious with great attention to all details. The location, although not with a Danube river view, was 2 mnitues from the river and close to everything that would be of interest to tourist. We enjoyed this hotel very much and would stay there again , whenever. The fact that our room was only C$ 104.00 per night which included a daily breakfast did help.   Peter the owner was especially helpful always providing a map with dots and paths to where u need to go...the other staff were cool too My memories of hostel california are very good..it was homely and lots of people coming and going..a smoking section and an excellent location..vaci utca..watch out for the heavies on the street though...and the t... hva folk sier » ourist trap.
