The room, although small, had everything you'd need to make yourself comfortable for a couple of nights. The bed was excellent and the room was clean. The bathroom is really tiny but well kept, it has a hairdryer and a comfortably sized shower cabin. Bathroom heating is also included, so if you plan to visit during the winter, this is a big plus.

I thought the room was clean and a good value for the money. It was also centrally located but a bit hard to find.... google map did not match destination. It was nice to have the bar open and food available late evening if desired.

One of the best places we have stayed in. Everything tops. Excellent service, clean, lots of amenities, and super location. We should have stayed there to travel to Aachen and Luxembourg and even Brussels! - This was a great hotel. The rooms very comfortable for the price and the hotel staff very helpful. very pleasent in general and great food would recommend this hotel to anyone. thank you Esplanade - Very friendly staff and a really good breakfast the next day. Slightly unexpected that it was primarily a young male couples hotel , however this was not an issue whatsoever. Really nice place to stay, my wife and i agreed that we would stay again

Star Apartments was amazing and great value for money. For a reasonable price, we got a comfy and pleasant studio apartment with cooking facilities (as well as a kettle for tea!) The balcony was lovely to relax on and it felt much more homely than a hotel room. Also, very well-connected to the rest of Cologne via the tram and train networks. -
