  The two staff -- husband and wife?-- were both very friendly and helpful. The hotel is small, and very quiet for somewhere so central. The place was warm and spotlessly clean, and the breakfast was low-key and tasty. There was actual tea in a real tea pot -- not an easy thing to find in coffee-centric Germany! I would highly recommend. - Small hotel, just a few rooms, but nice, especially a common area and breakfast place. Room for one person is really small, but bed was comfy and bathroom was very clean. It was nice to get in my room after my trip, 'cause Koln greeted me with windy and cold weather. Breakfast was fine, too. You can ask for eggs prepared as you like. Everything was a bit better than I expected.

  What a great hotel! The rooms were a good size, clean, comfortable and in a nice quiet location. A quiet street just next to the Dom and a main shopping street, perfect. Also the breakfast was amazing! Great selection of foods and plenty of fresh fruit available all the time. All the sites we wanted to see were within 5-10 min. walking distance. The National Socialist Museum was right around the corner.   Loved the location of the hotel which is so close to the DOM Cathedral, the Rhine River (which extends to 4 countries) the city center with shops, pick up point for city tour and Cologne's tourist center. Restaurants abound in its vicinity. Hotel room was enormous ( we got upgraded), clean but styled in the 80's. For those with heavy luggage, there is one flight of stairs to take you - The room was as advertised, clean with all required amenities. Breakfast was awesome with a wide choice of hot and cold food and beverages. Staff was really welcoming and helpful plus they offer you as much fruits as you want and one free bottle of water daily, which was really fantastic. The location is also just a 5 minute walk from the Dom and central station plus there is a metro station just in front of the hotel. Great experience and hotel!

  The location was terrific. Just a stone's throw from the big cathedral. The lower floor of the hotel is a giant restaurant serving some of the best food in town at rock-bottom prices. I got a room facing the inner courtyard, so although the hotel was in the centre of town, it was extremely quiet. Great for sleeping.   We had a very clean, comfortable room overlooking the street on the first floor. The custom built furnishings were very nice, as was the walk in shower. Very comfortable bed. The windows are easy to open and had blackout curtains. The location is great and lets you pop back to your room for a break during sightseeing. - Liz from KL summed it up well. We had the top floor room which is split over two levels, and fro the top level we could see the Dom. Very convenient location, close to railway station and there is a suburban line almost right underneath the hotel now, so convenient to arrive into the city by train. Breakfast was outstanding, with local gourmet ingredients. Great staff. Quiet location too, set on a quiet back street just outside the central part of town. Highly recommend this place.
