  A delightful manor house of some age situated down a country lane which had been renovated by Eric and his wife. He was a very good host who previously worked in the software industry. He and his wife both own Harley Davidson motorcycles but are not "bikers".!The rooms were interesting, all results of brocante hunting I should think. The brea... hva folk sier » kfast was good and the gardens were lovely and provided places to sit and relax. It's an excellent venue for those wanting to visit the Cherbourg peni - Eric and his wife were wonderful in their welcome. The room was spacious and very comfortable. There is a bar upstairs whcre you can relax and all Eric asks you do is write down what you have. There is a superb continental breakfast to set you on your way but as we did, we had a nice stroll around the grounds before departing and regrettably after just one night's stay.

  The chateau is approached down a long wooded drive and it appeared in the sunshine and was spectacular. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious and comfortable, with period fittings. Don't expect walk in showers here - they would be completely inappropriate. We walked around the woods and fields and had a picnic one evening in the greenhouse. The attention to detail they have put into bringing this beautiful place - We loved everything about Chateau de Pont Rilly. It was our first stay in a chateau and it exceeded all our expectations. The owners have restored the place to perfection. Our bedroom & en suite bathroom were spacious & beautifully decorated in keeping with the 18th century building.
