From the moment we walked in we were charmed. Very pretty quaint colonial style hotel with lovely, cozy sitting areas and a warm ambience. We stayed in the mini suite and it was perfect for two of us. Rooms are small but very clean and the location is perfect. 5 blocks to the city square. The staff is what we will remember. You will feel very comfortable and part of the family. There is always a smile from the staff and they are more than happy to help in anyway, directions, tours, recommendati.

From arranging taxis to an earlier than normal breakfast for us to recommending restaurants during Carnival when most places were closed. This was a fantastic experience. Mucho gracias to all the staff. The staff we're helpful and accommodating and friendly. The room and bathroom were clean. The lady at the desk let us keep our luggage in the office while we did a tour of the city-we got to the hotel early but checkin was at 3pm. She was very nice and helpful. The cleaning staff greeted us with smiles and we were offered coffee. Perfect location. Exceptionally clean. Excellent staff, helpful safe. Safe in room although the hotel is permanently locked access through main door by ringing bell. Breakfast very tasty. 24 hour coffee and tea in public areas. Recommended excellent inexpensive local restaurants. Amazing food good value for money!. this was one of the best,friendly,great location places I have stayed,I felt comfortable and safe and the staff was always there for whatever our needs were.I would not just reccomend Casa San Rafael,but rest assured,I will be staying there in the near future. Traffic can be noisy as hotel located on a busy crossroads with traffic lights that beep all night. Don't order supplementary snacks at the hotel as paperwork is a nightmare, needed passport address telephone number and signature to purchase 2 Empanadas! Even though we paid cash!. could not find any faults. Nothing actually, would just suggest some additional options and ingredients for breakfast, and the possibility of having a glass of wine or a beer later in the day or evening. The rooms were small. Not much room to open the suitcase on the floor and still get to the closet or the bathroom depending on where the suitecase was sitting. Nothing. There was nothing to not like. Needed ear plugs in room overlooking the street. street noise. Rooms/bathroom are small. not a thing. Slightly cold temperature in the evening. Value for money. I found similar places with better price per night. It did not have drier. It was very noisy! The windows must be single glaze. We listened to the walk now beeping of nearby traffic lights all night.
