The "club" category rooms have impressive view over the Bund
and the City, especially the spot scene of Pudong by night. All the
complimentary services are also quite good (permanent access to soft
drinks, some small food, etc.).

The hotel is one of the better one in shanghai for the money. Staff try very hard to make your stay enjoyable. While English is poor from some of the staff we managed to work out what I wanted. I had the bellboys get cabs for me in the pouring rain and did it with a smile. There are two restaurants in the building that are both very good quality but I would have to say the element fresh was very good value for money and the food was fantastic. Great hotel and would stay there again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Concierge, Nicholas knows everything. He provided excellent recommendations for dining, made the reservations and provided directions. There are great dining options close to the hotel. The complimentary tea and coffee and cookies in the lounge 24 hours was a god -send after a day out in the Shanghai heat. The hotel is perfectly located, close to the pedestrian street and public transport, but far enough to not get any noise from it. Lobby is grand, and the open restaurant is excellent, get the grilled salmon for lunch! Gym facilities and pool is fantastic, lots of space and good equipment. Location, location, location!
I stayed here twice. The hotel is close to the train station - People's Square, exit 14. It's in walking distance to East Nanjing Rd without all the noise. You can also walk to the Bund really easily.
The staff are super friendly and speak English well. Breakfast was ok-good as it was included, no complaints there.

The ambience of the hotel was really good all through out the hotel, the
interior design from the lobby to the reception to the restaurants and
especially the rooms is outstanding.
The staff were very helpful and eager to serve in whatever way they can. From helping to arrange sightseeing tours or mapping out places to go, or picking up a taxi.
The staff spoke very good english, especially the concierge.

The location of the hotel cant be better. Right in the middle of the
city, on the famous pedestrian street nanjing road and next to
people's park. Very easy axess to metro lines. Breakfast was rich
and the service was exellent. I need to mention our great view from our
room on the 37th floor as well.
