  Having tried many hotels in Mechelen, and needing to stay when a conference was one, I booked this hotel. I arrived late in the evening, but my key and paperwork were ready, so I was able to nip into the dining room before it closed. The menu is small, but has some unusual items to try.   The room was enormous with lovely decor. The owner was extremely helpful. Parking was fairly easy on the street.
