Location, location, location! We were greeted warmly and directed to our spacious and well appoimted room. Our room looked out over the market square, others over the church and the very best look over the lake.
The hotels restaurant and bar open out onto a very spacious deck area right on the waters edge, perfect for pre dinner drinks.

The hotel has undergone a major renovation and our room overlooking the church and the water was spacious and very nice. There are two comfortable chairs and wifi is available in the room so it was easy to catch up on business. The food in the restaurant was excellent and breakfast was also great with lots of choices. We had three rooms- two with balconies and one without. All were a
little bit different, but very cute. The included breakfast was a great
way to start the day. They were able to hold us luggage for us the
following day.

Loved the location, very close to center of Halstatt. If you are using
gps don't trust it. The street is the first one on the right as you
come out of the tunnel. Street looks like a small one way but the hotel
is close with good parking. If I hadn't been watching the gps so
closely I would have seen their big sign. Very nice big room but the
location was awesome and town beautiful.

- Great location, not in the central of the town but only 5-10 minutes
walk with beautiful scene along the way. Peaceful location and free
parking in front of the house. You don't have to carry your heavy
luggage quite far or up the hill as in center of the town.

Having read many reviews beforehand, it is known that the hotel itself is not in the Hallstatt downtown and does not have a lake view. However, it is strategically located: 1) very near the bus stop and downtown, yet without all the noise; 2) roads to the hotel are flat, no problems for people towing luggages; 3) has a carpark; 4) virtually beside the saltmine cable station and near a waterfall. The gorgeous town of Hallstatt had experienced devastating flash flooding two nights prior to our visit and our hotel had been affected. You wouldn't have known that though as they cleaned up very quickly. Our room was divine. Luxurious, comfortable, and extremely clean. The view of the lake from our balcony was breathtaking. Friendly staff who spoke English fairly well, a clean room with a partial view of the water and town (and the next building) and a great restaurant downstairs. They also offer (included in room) a good breakfast of cheeses, breads yogurt and cereal, etc.

Spacious airy bedroom with MAGNIFICENT views. Beds and pillows were extremely comfortable leaving you totally chilled out. Sauna was a big bonus to ease aching bones after long hikes.
Klaus the owner was invaluable with his local knowledge on beautiful treks and advise on routes to drive and sights to see. His recommendations were 10/10.
Close to all restaurants and the little town too but very tranquil....only noise were from the ducks and swans in the lake.

To complain about the location of the guesthouse is non sense. It is quietly located in a narrow road besides a river. We enjoyed walking every morning to the centre of Hallstatt, and as the description says, it is just a 15 min walk away from the centre.
Service was superb, very kind staff. Room clean and fresh each day.

We got a very big room on the 3rd floor. The room is clean with fridge and separated toilet (not with the bathroom). The owner lady is very kind, friendly and useful. It's located in a quite area next to the cable car to the salt mine. Definitely recommended.

Location of the apartment is good once you are in the hallstatt.It is very near to the bus stop but a bit far from the ferry's stop.If you have luggage, I would recommend to book a cab/taxi.It is about 15 min walk from ferry's stop.
