very nice staff, good service, friendly, nice places to have dinner just beside the hotel
whirlpool was dirty
The doorman Davide was so professional and courteous - we had to change rooms and he was so helpful. Loved our stay here easy walk to opera house, art gallery and lovely restaurants on your doorstep. A big thank you also to the duty manager who was also very helpful. We will definitely be returning to this hotel again soon, loved our stay.
Location is fantastic. Good sized rooms. Very comfortable and clean, Everything you need. Reception staff very good.
The charge for parking...
All the above - stylish, modern A1 hotel without prententiousness.
Nothing
staying in a heritage building on the water the views the pool and spa the doormen the location the decor the breakfast the ambience
More info on the heritage of the building would have been a nice additional touch on an otherwise wonderful experience
Very comfortable- this was a special treat for me after an event. I have stayed here once previously and was keen to come back. Lovely views, fantastic staff, great location. I just love the conversion of the warf, as it keeps all the character and features of the working warf's history. If you fany a splurg, stay a couple of nights, it's lovely. I had a standard room this time on the city side, but last time I was lucky enough to get a deluxe suite over two levels that was sublime.
A bit more expensive than my usual budget! Wish I could afford to stay here all the time!
the concept of a wharf and it location
accessibility to the pool was bad. It was far and we have to walk through the breakfast area.
Great location easily within walking distance of Sydney CBD and tourist attractions, clean facility and friendly staff.
Purchased food left in the refrigerator was missing upon our return in the evening each of the two nights we stayed.
The best experience of a city break. Staff were exceptional both in their professionalism and friendliness. I loved the design of the hotel.
That I had to leave.
everything
staff were excellent from the moment we pulled up in our car. Check in was easy. Complimentary bottle of wine was unexpected but welcome. Facilities were magnificent and the stay was very enjoyable albeit breif.
The location. We used to have an apartment almost opposite and watched the Wharf being rennovated. It was very familiar to us.
When I thought I had left my keys behind in the room after I had left, I phoned Reception who put me through to an extension with a digitised voice. My call was never returned.
Everything, I felt like me and my son (7 years old) were vips of some sort (and my kid is not the eazy guest I should admit, but all staff looked after him very well and dealt with all his little dramas with exeptional grace). We were there for international fleet review and location for it was the best.
Can't stay longer
The staff were outstanding and very accommodating. Our room was ready early at our request with no extra charge and we were given access to it hours earlier. Great location to beautiful walks through the gardens to main attractions. Would definitely recommend to friends. (Was actually recommended to me by another friend.
The only thing that was not entirely to our liking was that the beds were extremely soft. This didn't both us too much as we were only there for two nights and is really a personal thing.
Excellent hotel style and location.
Everything
Great location, fantastic service and friendly staff, will stay there again, highly recommended.
Great location, quiet rooms, views of the water if not the harbour. Well appointed. Good configuration on loft bed.
Could be hot upstairs and separate air conditioner (essential 'cos no open windows) was V. noisy. No problem in August but Summer may be another story.
Doorman was friendly and helpful. Excellent location walking distance to art gallery of NSW, Opera House and ferries. Lovely view of water from room.
I enjoyed the Woolloomooloo Location.................the walk thru the Domain.......it's closeness to Darlinghurst and Paddington and catching a Cab was fairly easy. The Restaurant strip, which we visited was excellent.
It was a very pleasant stay; hardly anything to complain about.
Breakfast really too expensive for what it is (30aud). Suggest skipping it.
Location of surrounds
Location Building design
Noise from street and adjoining rooms
Room and service were excellent
Bar service, not enough staff on to cater for the functions
Extremely central to everything in Sydney CBD, Circular Quay
Liked the room. Great views. Nice restaurants close by. Staff very friendly and helpful - even wished me 'happy birthday' which was much appreciated.
Everything except "....... Z
Hotel was full staff unable to cope check in procedure was poor and like many others they always try to give you the worst rooms first. concierge and front desk service was poor .complaints procedure was also poor .they never return calls!
1st class, stunning building in a great location. Everything from the welcome to the room and facilities was excellent which made for a great last 8 days in Sydney on our Lions tour!
Nothing!
Our loft room was extremely comfortable and quiet. The hotel was within walking distance to all the main sights as well as to great cafes and restaurants. The best thing about the hotel was the staff whose service was exceptional!
soft comfy beds space design little extras staff location
couldnt get early check in
the weather but we couldn't do anything about it
excellent in every respect
Service was faultless. Staff were exceedingly helpful. Can't help but recommend!
The Taj is in a recently redone dock building that has nicely incorporated some of the old structure with a very modern building. We found the accommodations very satisfactory. It is near the opera house and botanical garden, not far from downtown and the ferry docks.
Bed was a bit soft for older travelers like us with stiff backs. If you need a really firm bed, check with them if they can accommodate before booking.
Location and building
the staff were magic which makes the hotel. good bed and room facilities we couldn't fault.
no hangers for clothes in the bathroom and nowhere to hang wet towels. if you were a little infirm the step up to get into the bath for a shower would be a real problem.
Great staff and atmosphere
nothing except the price
Great location, close to the city but with proximity to a more relaxing seaside and parkland experience. Excellent, friendly service.
Not much
Really friendly staff Very comfy bed Interior design of hotel Quiet in rooms
Couldnt control room temp...not sure why. Too hot at night
Loved the bath. Loved that it was the equivalent of a twin single but it was twin double beds. Loved that my daughter got to try on a kid sized bathrobe and slippers. Loved that when we came back for coffee we could have it in the foyer which was also beautiful. Loved the design of all the rooms. Loved how close it was to the naval base.
Not a thing.
renovation of old wharf was well done, beds were very comfortable
a cafe would have been good, there was very few in the area. The breakfast was very expensive and awful, most cafe's do a decent Eggs Benedict, the hotel version was horrible.
The Opera on the Harbour Parks, The Rocks, Art Gallery etc easy walking access
A Hotel where you can relax and kick back, close to the city centre but far enough away to feel you are somewhere else. Rooms and room facilites are excellent
Breakfast is appalling, little choice and in the main cold by the time you get it back to your table. Could do also do with a lot more atmosphere.
Well situated .Relaxed easy ambience. Staff attentive but not invasive, happy to be of assistance
Nothing I didn't like
Design, rooms, room service, staff
Bath tub was difficult to get in/out; also slippery; fortunately a staff member took the initiative to go out and purchase a bath mat for us because we complained and Blue had none available. A/C control did not work well so room was often too cold or too warm.
Everything - walking distance to Opera House through the gardens - lovely area with great little pubs across the road for cheaper meals
I am a regular client of the Blue at Wooloomooloo ....either on business or on week end trips to Sydney ...this time I booked the hotel for my brother and his wife and myself as it was their first time to Australia and Sydney ...and I thought it would be the best location to discover Sydney ..to walk to the best spots The Botanic Gardens the Arts Gallery the Opera House the Harbour the Rocks ...and the CBD for shopping and business !!! The rooms luxurious and services friendly ...the skyline views are top and the restaurants on the Wharf are world class ....
marina; choice of restaurants by marina; rooms
the walk from the bedroom through the first floor to get to the pool; bourke street...felt unsafe
We liked the location. It was centrally located to all of the places we wished to visit/see. The studio suite offered much more room to relax in and we have never slept as well as we did on the comfortable bed along with the wonderful feather pillows and down comforter. It was quiet and all of the staff were very attentive.
We did have a bit of a problem with mildew in the bathroom shower area which we did address.
Loved every minute of our stay. The old converted woolen mills the hotel now occupies is beautiful and lovingly restored where the old mills meets the modern hotel located right over the water. Staff were excellent. We will be back!
