It was nice to be somewhere clean and very comfortable.
Originally booked in March this year with Crown Plaza but of course could not find it when we arrived in Alice - maybe an email to advise that you had purchased the hotel and it was now renamed as we could not find it.

Pleasant stay, clean rooms, polite and helpful staff. Great to have access to a laundry room! Glad to enjoy the pool, even for a brief stay.
Food at The Deck was mostly fine but food arrived maybe 45 minutes after ordering - some of it was hot and some was almost cold. Staff were pleasant but maybe a bit disorganized about who was responsible for what.
Easy located, great value, very welcomed and friendly.
Room was great. Service was awesome. Hanuman Restaurant was delicious.
Rooms not particularly sound proof. We had a group next door with a baby - and while we could not hear words, the sounds were clearly audible. Gym a bit shabby. Spa and sauna broken.
Staff were very good.. have stayed there before and much preferred this stay in the wing to the right of the pool - didn't have to walk so far to the room
The bathroom was old and outdated and water splashed everywhere when I turned it on (hand held shower rose was awkward)

Short-staffed in bar/restaurant, took ages to have our order taken.
Since I made the booking, the property underwent a name change from Crowne Plaza to Double Tree by Hilton. Maybe an email from either letsbookhotel.com or Hilton could be sent to others in this situation to avoid confusion on arrival.
Hanuman restaurant was delightful.

the hotel layout was very relaxing with the pool as a central facility the food in the main restaurant Hanuman was outstanding
Comfortable rooms ...friendly staff.... lovely swimming pool with late evening access and excellent Thai restaurant ! Location outside of the CBD and near the golf course provided quiet surroundings and a nice rest after a long drive from Kings Canyon .....

I always stay at the crown plasa when in Alice springs. It is excellent.
Internet was too expensive.
Pool, dining and staff
The Thai/Indian restaurant is excellent. The room was a decent size and had a nice mountain view.
Reception was not particularly welcoming. Bar area rather gloomy. General décor really quite dated. Some signs of tattiness (e.g. door handles missing, etc.).

The aircondition did not work properly - the room was very hot all night making it hard to sleep. Plus the walls in the bathroom were dirty
Nothing stood out for my husband and I. It was a standard stay. The cookie on arrival was a very nice touch though.
The black short & curly hairs in the bath/shower - in the bath tub and on the wall. The customer service on checkout was very poor.

No drawers in which to unpack. Very little tourist info other than standard handout. Would have like complimentary sun umbrellas give distance to town. Only 20 min of wifi free, what is that about?
The hotel overall was very comfortable
The Cafe food quality was poor.
That we were able to leave our luggage and use thei facilities till late afternoon as we only left to join the Ghan at 4pm.
Lighting Cost We got a shock to see the old state of the rooms and shower for the area and lack of services. Expensive.
