This is an amazing hostel. It's modern clean and very comfortable. It's on the Main Street in town and very close to the start of the walks. In particular the staff are amazing. They are very friendly and offer better customer service than out 5* hotels (they ask about your day, they offer advice about the area, they let you come back and use the kitchen / showers etc after a days walking even if you've checked out, they also pointed out that I could get a discount as I was travelling on my own.

We got there late around 9 in the evening and the desk staff we welcoming and proceeded to spend quite a long time detailing all the treks and paths with recommendations. All this resulted in an excellant day of trekking which started with an amazing sunrise. Room, bathroom and kitchen were clean. El Chalten is a small town and everything is within a walking distance. Patagonis hostel (B&B section) is truly a gem in this cozy town. The room & bathroom and shared living room is very new. The breakfast is good for the price with egg, cereal, bread and ham. Very good facility (a villa with large rooms, pc room, living room with balcony and panorama on the bay). Very good breakfast and coffee/cake corner all-day -long. Staff available for suggestion and direction for the excursions. Great room, much more comfortable than other hostels we stayed in on our trip. Great location near La Cerveceria and on the main strip of town. Helpful staff and decent breakfast included. I am not a hostel person and yet this was amazing! The private room was the nicest we stayed in during two weeks of travel, the shared facilities were immaculate and everything was great. It was great to have access to a refridgerator for food items. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Laundry service was also a bonus. Los cuartos privados eran realmente buenos. Hostel muy bonito, nada que envidiar a los hoteles. Thin walls and I was unfortunate to have a neighbor who snoozed his alarm every 5 minutes from 5:30 to 7:00 AM... Internet was slow but nothing can be done about this cos of the surrounding mountains. slow internet. Breakfast is not included no TV in rooms The kitchen is not the best. Nothing. Internet access (might be a problem throughout town...).
