Location near public transportation-Friendliness of staff-cleanliness of room and public spaces-very comfortable hotel
nothing
We were extremely pleased with this hotel. The location was fantastic and the extra touches.....coffee, tea & hot chocolate in the morning, wine, beer and hot cider between 5 and 6 and then cookies later in the evening made the stay even more pleasant. We were able to get a great price through letsbookhotel.com and the room and the staff were great. We would definitely stay again.
Nothing..............
Very clean, staff great, wonderful decor, comfortable bed.
Price a little high even if a break for last minute. I know sf is expensive, but felt they could do better since their rooms are pretyy small.
All front disk having the expert of how to deal with customers. Room services are very kind and gentels.
Smoking not allowed.
We loved the size of the hotel - very cozy with a European feel. The complimentary wine hour allowed us to meet some very interesting people. We also loved the bay view - the bridge was beautiful at night.
It was convenient to where we wanted to be. Chris the Conceirge has an excellent knowledge of Restaurants in San Francisco.
Have to get the bay view, the lights at night are amazing and a night never to forget, just amazing!!!!!
The complimentary wine hour and closeness to public transportation.
The room was small, with no refrigerator.
staff robes
parking
Location to interesting venues such as Ferry building, Exploratorium, many good bars & restaurants.
The lounge chair in the room wasn't very comfortable.
All staff I encountered were very friendly and eager to help. Hotel was very well located for our purpose (July 4th fireworks). Afternoon wine was a fine treat. Bed was very comfortable. Valet was abit pricey, but very handy to have the car brought out and available to use any time.
Room was small, but the website mentioned the size. No problem for us.
Great views, nice lobby for lounging and nice amenities like happy hour.
Rooms are very small. Unhappy about transportation. The hotel recommended a car service that was late and costly, even when public transit requested and a very viable alternative. Required cash for car service and driver requested tip after being 15 minutes late to take me to the airport. They pushed this service a couple of times and it felt like the hotel/staff had some monetary incentive to push this service.
Walking distance to the attractions and events we had planned.
No lobby restroom.
Staff here were FABULOUS. I felt incredibly well looked after. All the perks (cookie hour, wine hour, massages) were wonderful and so very appreciated. Super comfortable room, spectacular view.
Marathon started at 5am outside my room! Not in any way the hotel's fault - they were very good about handling that event near their hotel, actually.
Wonderful service! The wine reception was lovely as was the array of coffee and tea in the morning. It definately made getting out of bed easier. An unexpected added bonus was the free use of bikes to troll around San Francisco. This is my second stay at a Kimpton and I would most definately do it again!
The room was on the small size. There was no real room to put your suitcase down and still be able to walk around the room. I do prefer rooms with a sitting area and that was not an option in this room.
Staff were exceptional.
bed was a tad bit hard.
Friendly and efficient staff
No onsite breakfast, but plenty of cafes by the docks nearby
We just love this place. Our go to spot when we head into the city. Perfect when traveling with our dogs. Always clean, friendly and helpful.
It was wonderful! The staff was so friendly and helpful. The beds were so comfortable. The location was great. There was a wine and beer hour daily. Milk and cookies every night. All in all, a great experience.
Coming home :)
Nice welcome
Very small rooms, no view at all
Staff was amazing! Hotel felt like home with all of the amenities plus wine hour and cookie hour were awesome!
Staff very friendly and reception always smelt very nice. Great location and very nicely decor
No tea or coffee facilities in room.
Welcoming staff, comfortable bed, great use of space (despite being a smaller room), great location.
Loved everything! As a hotel in the city, all rooms are on the smaller size so do prepare for that; but they had a great use of space to compensate for the lack of room.
Location was perfect. Very clean. friendly staff.
No view...room small, but cozy.
The location The staff The wine reception
Room was a bit small
This is our 2nd time staying here. The staff are always very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. We were checked in by Daniel and his dog, Snoopy. They were both extremely friendly. Daniel told us about all of the events around the hotel and made us feel very welcome. We love that the facility is so pet-friendly and would like to bring our dog next time. Far- beyond amazing. Thank you!
Extremely pleasant, helpful staff. Beautiful view. Comfortable bed. Use of minibar for food storage
Unable to open some windows, but air conditioner did not work properly and one night there was a jackhammer in use on the road below.
The hotel staff was professional. They were friendly without being intrusive. There were excellent facilities in general and a very pleasant lobby for meetings or relaxing over a glass of complementary wine.
The staff was more than friendly and helpful, location was great, room was clean and comfortable, great trip.
Good location - great facilities/services - clean room
small room price a little bit high
The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Not large but hey it's San Francisco.
Valet parking was $45. I think that's probably comperable to other hotels in the area. You can savy a few dollars by parking yourself at the garage 1/2 a block away
Friendly and helpful staff. Nice sitting area behind lobby. Location in Embarcadero.
No on-site restaurant. No lobby washrooms... You had to use the ymca next door or Perry's restaurant... Very inconvenient. You either have a million dollar view over the Bay or nothing; we had nothing as views were booked out. No on-site fitness or pool. I paid 4 big ones for a double; poor value.
Great staff. Brilliant location near Bay Bridge. Great foyer area with free morning coffee
Very small rooms. No breakfast area. Very expensive for what it was
Friendly staff
No one told us on Sat. Evening that a Marathon would start at 5 A.M. just outside our bay view room. We understood the excellent rate we were given when we couldn't talk over the loud music and announcer that were located at the start of the race right outside. Terrible way to wake up. We also didn't like that the hotel doesn't have a fitness room inside the hotel and cabs were very difficult to secure. With the taxes the rate really wasn't worth the experience.
The bed was very comfortable and the location of the hotel was great - 25 minute walk from Pier 39 along the waterfront.
We were told on arrival that the bed was a very small double, which was fine... What they failed to tell us was the size of the room was only just big enough to accomodate the bed... 2 1/2 steps and I was the other side of the room.. Very disappointed and were charged $400 for the room.. We had to put our suitcases in the bathroom as they would not fit in the room. Will not recommend this hotel to anyone traveling with more than an overnight back and large wallet!!!
Location
No facilities in the room ie tea or coffee, rooms are small. Restaurant downstairs had a flood and we had no air con for 2 days in the room. It was very hot. No offers of compensation. Very poor hotel.
Extreamly small rooms No one even showed some interes to help us with the bags we were carying Room with small window, noisy machines (kitchen or air condition) just behind the window, no view at all
There was no pool availlable although they say they have one. There were no breakfastfacilities and no bar. There was not a safe and there was only a little bit of toiletpaper in the bathroom.
