The room was clean, more than adequate space for 2 people, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were going deep sea fishing the following morning, and the location was the best we have had in years in OC. We were in close proximity to Layton's Restaurant which serves a 6 a.m. breakfast. This was great since we needed to be at the dock at 7 a.m. We also enjoyed being one block away from the beach and boardwalk. My husband and I will recommend the King Charles to anyone who is looking .

There was coffee available each morning. It is a very homey environment, and I enjoyed sitting on the porch in the morning. The hotel is nothing fancy, but it is priced accordingly for what it offers. There is also parking available, which is a huge plus for Ocean City. I would definitely recommend The King Charles Hotel. This was my first time staying at this hotel. Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating to my family. My children loved brownie and cookie night which was an extra bonus! I loved the coffee that was available in the lobby every day. We were made to feel extremely welcomed and comfortable here. The staff was so friendly to my family. Kudos for running a warm, family friendly environment. I loved it here and the hotel is conveniently located to the boardwalk and beach. The King Charles Hotel was perfect. I will go again and I would recommend this place to anyone! The staff was warm and friendly. They couldn't be more accommodating. The place was super clean so much that I didn't worry about my toddler there at all! It is so close to the beach and the boardwalk. It is only a fifteen minute drive to Assateague Island. Nothing. No complaints. No pets. 3 flights of stairs. ..no elevator !. window AC. Non smoking rooms but not a deal killer. They had it set up nice outside for smokers. No elavator or help with luggage. Not to much privacy,noise from guest at night.
