Everyone was attentive profession . Immaculate hotel. Wonderful room.
There was nothing.
The staff and amenities at the Gansevoort Meatpacking was beyond our expectations, our room was impeccably clean, and we were accommodated by a very friendly and courteous staff.
Service was spectacular - we booked at the incorrect location and booking s and the Gansevort worked with us very quickly to help us.
The manager was competent, kind, and considerate.
The staff were aloof and disorganized, yet arrogant. Quite unimpressive group of young people that even challenged the requests of the supervisor.
Great location for Downtown shopping, eating, etc.Good for us smokers to have a rooftop area to 'indulge' our habit. Room a decent size, and comfortable, and for myself,a swimmer,a luxury in NYC to have my 7.30am swim each day.
Food was great bartender was stellar
Loved everything about it, luxurious, great location, 5 Stars!
Very nice room, much better than expected.
The bed, was a little uncomfortable, especially considering how nice the room was.
Staff was great! Very friendly, helpful, accommodating. Felt very safe, although perhaps a separate elevator for non-patron bar attendees would increase that feeling. Bar bouncers were exceedingly helpful and courteous. Bed was comfortable - great showers in bath! Bar was fun! Great location.
Hotel was 'tired'. Black marks on ceiling in room, tired wall coverings (art choices only hide so much). Bar very worn, (perhaps due to exuberance of patrons) - broken planters, tables, benches. For the nightly cost, expected more.
Room design, attention to detail and luxury orientation. Plus the location is amazing as it is far from the busy touristic areas and you can walk to the genuine posh new york cafes and bars
The bar upstairs had a lot of noisy drunk and loud people. They were really a pain.
The vibe the room decor the location
Rude wait staff in the cafe
Our reservation was screwed up and it was the staffs fault but there was nothing they could do to fix it and there was no offer of a discount or anything to make up for it. I was very disappointed!
The great boutique hotel in meat packing district. $295 plus tax on Sunday night stay was great price!
Location, staff, facilities, rooms all very good. Roof top pool and bar superb in nice weather.
Wi fi kept reaching max number of users
everything; location, staff, room size, bed
everything
The Staff were very friendly and most professional
The fact that one had to prove they were a desk in evenings. The staff were very welcoming once status ascertained. I thin there should be a separate entrance to the bar.
Location and comfort. Door/portering/domestic staff exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Reception staff moderately "snobby" and items were charged to my room which I hadn't received.
Location is just wonderful! We loved the MPD. Staying there really made ou trip. The rooftop bar and pool and the view were amazing.
At nights there is a lot of noise on the street.
Helpfulness of Staff
Admission of non-hotel customers to rooftop club requires additional discretionary control
Great service!
Location!
A bit noise during weekend.
location, room
"scene"
Wonderful comfortable bed and complimentary champagne for our wedding anniversary. great bar and service on rooftop!
Noisy ventilation fans outside / below our room window. Couldn't keep window open @ night.
From check-in to check-out we found all the staff to be friendly and helpful. The design of the hotel was very contemporary and chic, and we were pleasantly surprised by the size of our room. The surrounding area had plenty to explore with easy access to transport. This hotel really was fabulous.
It is quite expensive, but we thought it was worth it compared to other hotels for the same price.
Location and Spa.
Because the hotel's heating/cooling system was set to winter mode, the cool function in the room's climate control blew hot air. I only realized after returning to my 80+ degree room. The only alternative was opening the window to a noisy NYC. My wife and I were up half the night and woke up with sore throats. I've stayed all over top NY hotels, and many fine hotels throughout the world. This was a first.
The people are friendly, the concierge is helpful. The location is great if you are looking for a hip area, party, dance or shopping
Room could have been nicer
Very friendly & welcoming staff upgraded at no charge Spa heated pool on roof top
Location, amazing staff out standing
The noise from the busy hussal and night club life outside would penetrate through the glass needed to be more noise resistant .
Social in place to stay among bohemian crowd
Bar in lobby to small
Staff and location were great. Super clean room with a complimentary upgrade.
one hour delay in room availability couldn't get in until 4:15 pm
It's a party hotel
District
One of my favorite hotels in NYC. Love the design, the views, the posh rooftop bar. The rooms are fair size and fun, the bed super comfortable, everything very clean. The location by the High Line may not be in the very center but definitely one of the most charming areas in Manhattan.
It's just a very cool place.
dubstep music in restaurant a bit over the top
Room although on the smaller side, didn't feel cramped. Loved the decor, very sexy and trendy.
Very loud drunk neighbors throughout the hallway on our floor. It's a party hotel though so just be forewarned if loud music and drunk people knocking on your door at 5am isn't your cup of tea, this hotel isn't a good choice.
Loved the convenience of the drive up and valet, although $50 wa a little expensive. $265 room with 2 lunch salads and 1 small pot of coffee and a bottle of water (room service) and valet put the room charge to $460. Ended up being pretty expensive for one night. We may consider staying again, but more expensive than we expected.
Staff we're amazing. We went to celebrate my partners 30th and they help arrange champagne and chocolate Strawberries for our arrival in the room and managed to upgrade us and give us an early check in. The plunge bar was very cool and had some cocktails which were great. Shame it wasn't the weather to use the pool :-( The rooms were immaculate and cleaned and tidyed everyday which a turn down service which was nice after a busy day. When it came to leaving as we wasn't able to get back to our room in time to check out we called the hotel who got our bags out the room ready for us so we didn't need to rush back. We had an amazing time and would recommend it.
Just a shame staying the the hotel didnt give any special entrance into the Provocetur nightclub and we thought is was part if the same building which it's not, just over the road.
Great location. Very clean. Accomodating staff.
The $9 bottle of water in the room!
The Location ..In the middle of Meat Packing Dist.
Staff / From roof top to front desk .(.Had A attitude) I ask the the front desk if they can help me find a night club to go to, for my Bday...They had no idear what I was talking about... That night I bought a Bottle Vodka upstairs roof top .. so I can sit at a table.. some one knock it over.. (there was no control)..It was over crowded..The bounces were not doing anything..
Trendy chic hotel, cool decor, LOVE Exhale Spa downstairs for their Core Fusion class, location can't be beat
Cleansing products are terrible, room not super clean, had a lot of dust, air conditioning had just been turned to cool so was not working
Location
Food was poor, breakfast as well as the bar on top. Service at bar upstairs was also poor, took almost 25 minutes to get a check for a $700 bill. Bar was cold and quite disappointing, would not stay there a second time. Would not recommend it. Value for money is fair at best. They tink of themselves as vey trendy though...
We stayed before and location is great.
Drunken louts around the pool every day who continued to be served even though they had plainly had enough one smoking even though its a non smoking hotel also pool area far too small fir size of hotel and random people in hallways all night even if they aren't guests very unsatisfactory and will not stay again
Cold showers no wake up call
Noisey nightclub above room. Hotel trying to charge me a bar bill that doesn't exist
location was good
hotel was noisy and run down lobby was tiny and had old and damaged furniture and concierge service "helped" with tickets with a $200 mark up via an agent. On-line I found good tickets for half the price.
bed linens
