  This Inn was so quaint. We stayed in a Queen room, and it was adequate. I loved how they made the bed, putting a top sheet over the comforter, so one didn't have to feel funny about laying on the bed. The people working there were so friendly and helpful. It is an old hotel, and you get the historical ambiance that is so delightful. It is loc... wat mensen zeggen » ated right downtown Jamestown, everything within walking distance. I don't know why people didn't like staying here, we sure did. And we will return - Nice cottage in Jamestown, a little kitschy but with great amenities : flat screen, fine bathroom, quite comfy bed and even a real kitchen with fridge, sink, etc. Clean. Frugal breakfast (panecakes, juices, bread toast, hot beverages) included. Good welcome.

  I loved the staff. They were amazing. The food from your restaurant was AWESOME! The history of the hotel was interesting and the soaking tub was perfect after a long day. - We had excellent service (especially from Laura Lee) from the time we checked in, ate lunch, visited in the bar, until the time we check out. We will definitely return.

  I stayed in a 2nd floor room (as I requested), for two nights Sept 27-28 2013. The room was very basic, but since it was just for myself, it was just fine - old and rustic with plenty of gold rush character, but clean and practical. Besides the queen bed, there was a sizable round table and two chairs, a cold mini-fridge, and also a small microwav... wat mensen zeggen » e that was perfect for my late night pizza leftovers and drinks. The hot water got hot very quickly in both the bathroom sink and the shower, which al - I loved the size of the room. Jamestown is a wonderful place to visit and the shops are varied and interesting. The antique shops are quite large and the people in them are friendly. The hotel itself has a beautiful clean sparking pool for kids/families.

  Wonderful turn of the century Victorian home converted into a B&B. Great parking to the rear of the home with easy direct access to our room. Quaint decor in keeping with the style of the home. Wonderful breakfast and they even adjusted their schedule to meet our needs.   We had a large comfortable room near the swimming pool. The huge bed was very comfortable and we slept well. A fridge, microwave and coffee maker were useful. The motel was clean and the young staff friendly and hard working. The breakfast which we went to reception to collect each morning was simple but got us going for the day. Sonora is a great small town but still has many amentities so we were able to find a good restaurant to eat at after a long day in Yosemite. Sonora Inn is quiet, comfortable and clean, which is all we needed. I would stay here again if in the area. Nice hotel staff and they offer a small hot breakfast.

  The staff at the Gold Lodge were the greatest. Always cheerful and helpful. Even potential renovation detractions were handled so the customer was never inconvenienced.
