On arrival at the hotel we were greeted at the door and promptly shown to our room. From the photographs I'd seen on their website I had quite high expectations but the room exceeded them! It was beautiful! I loved everything about it! I love old buildings anyway so it was a treat to be staying in a victorian villa, and the way in which it is decorated it just oozes character. The only thing that may have made our stay even better would have been an ensuite bathroom. However, the shared bathr - Stephen

I have just returned from a two night stay at Woodside Villa in Whitby. The Guesthouse was outstanding, it is a credit to the owners, the rooms are lavishly decorated with each room having a theme, the whole place has a charming feel about it, the breakfast had that home cooked taste and was plentiful, the Landlady was so welcoming and could not do enough for you. I would certainly recommend this guesthouse and having a friend whose son is disabled i would rate it 90% disabled friendly and giv - Joanna

Went with choir singing in Whitby ,Shelly and Woodside villa was warm and welcoming.so after my 3 night stay with the choir members(a great place for groups) I stayed for a further 4 nights solo. Wonderfull Thankyou - Ben
