  The staff were excellent over my 2 day stay. The food was delicious and good value which isn't always the case for hotels. The rooms were very modern and very clean with walk in showers. The location is spot on for the town centre as its 10 minutes walk max and 5 minutes to the football stadium and train station. The fact that we could choose and buy films to watch was good.The breakfast choice was excellent and the fact that we could choose how much and what we wanted to eat.   Attentive staff, made to feel welcome, responded positively to all requests, friendly atmosphere in restuarant, excellent food, very well prepared with local fine ingredients. Room exceptionally clean and well equipped, 4 poster room delightful. The Auberge is easy to find but its location as a stand alone facility adds to the sense of occassion. ... wat mensen zeggen » There is a quaint thatched roof pub (the four horseshoes) about a mile or so away, well worth the visit. Overall the Auberge restaurant and accommodat - We were welcomed and shown to our room immediately. It was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed and good sized bathroom with large shower. We ate dinner there. The menu had a good number of mains choices. We chose the guinea fowl breast which we found rather overcooked. However the starter and home made bread made up for this. The house red was mellow and not expensive. The breakfast was generous and enjoyable. The staff were polite and friendly.

  I liked the fact this was a large hotel but the hotel but it felf as if it were a small boutique style hotel as there are lots of little rooms which all lead off each other where you can sit and have a drink or relax. The bathroom was clean and the shower was lovely and powerful. The bed was massive!!! The bedding was clean and fresh.

Because we arrived on Sat after 4pm, we did not have to pay either. The hotel is very clean and offers a comfortable stay at a reasonable price.
