  The Culane House Hotel, where we stayed for a total of 2 weeks, was great in so many ways. First, the staff are exceptional- helping with directions, finding certain kinds of shops and being super-attentive. We were originally put in a very large king-sized room. It was terrific, but the climb up two winding staircases was difficult for two old-... wat mensen zeggen » timers. The staff very kindly moved us without us even asking, to a downstairs room. Breakfasts are full with cooked and non-cooked selections - all - The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were clean and well supplied with thoughtful extras: TV. Wi-Fi, hot drink facilities, hairdryer and hair tongues, bottle of water and toiletries. Very nice freshly cooked breakfast. Very close to bus stop with regular, swift service to the city centre. Lovely quiet location overlooking the park.

  We loved the apartment. Just big enough for a couple, with a separate living area. Nice big comfortable bed in the bedroom. Free Wi-Fi. Dishwasher and washing machine, microwave, fridge and all the kitchen stuff one may need. I liked the shower gel and shampoo the apartment provides (full-size easy to use bottles as opposed to standard hotel stuff... wat mensen zeggen » ). Location-wise, it's about a ten-minute walk from Princes Street, with lots of restaurants and pubs in the neighbourhood. You also get 10 to 20% off - We only booked an apartment as we couldn't find a hotel. We were pleasantly surprised with Fountain courts & the equipment , washing machine & dishwasher plus the usual.We found the apartment much more relaxing & we had more freedom about breakfast & dining in. Would definately stay here again.Staff were friendly & helpfull. Easy walk to the castle & city centre.

  I'm not a very demanding traveller, all I need is a comfy bed, good shower and a proper breakfast - all was there for the reasonable price. The location was perfect for me - I was looking for a place closer to my daughter who is renting the room. The bus stops right near the hotel, easy to reach the city centre. Food was fresh and good, simple but nice - scottish breakfast as well as tea or coffee, yoghurt, juice, - The International Guest House offers a warm welcome, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful and do everything they can to make your stay a great experience. The rooms are decorated in an Old British style that gives you a feel of being transported back to Victorian times. The hotel and rooms are very clean, spacious and with all the comfort that you can expect.   We arrived early,really only wanted to drop cases off but was warmly greeted and allowed up to to our rooms. We had a knock a few mins later to check everything was in order. The whole establishment was spotless and all staff very friendly, would certainly stop again and recommend to others. At the end of the road approx 400m is the bus stop that ... wat mensen zeggen » takes you straight to Princes street. £1.50 one way or £3.50 for "hop on hop off" per day. £7.50 for a Taxi.But if feeling fit could walk in about 20m - Although we could not take the room until 2pm we were able to leave our bags much earlier and have them moved to our room when it was ready so we were free to enjoy an afternoon in Edinburgh, which very much appreciated. Room was spacious and comfortable with all the facilities we needed for a short stay. Breakfast was decent and filling and at a reasonable time. The hotel is in the Haymarket area which meant a short and inexpensive train ride into the centre - so an excellent location with

  Very suprised and impressed with this hotel, well presented and staff were polite and helpful. Room was very clean and quiet at the back of the building. Booked into restaurant for evening meal, everybodys food was excellent and again very friendly staff. Booked purely for location for Edinburgh marathon. - Everything...except the noise outsid... wat mensen zeggen » e the room. We still enjoyed our stay, we complained about the noise on leaving. And we were pleased with the response we received from the staff.

  The staff/owners were quite cordial and accommodating. The room was quite adequate, clean and above the usual B&B. I quite like that a tea pot was available in the room. Breakfast was a wonderful assortment. I had looked at other bookings, am so delighted to have chosen this one. - Everything was clean, comfortable and of a good standard. The owner is maybe a little eccentric, but this only added to the overall enjoyment.

  We loved every minute of our stay at South Queensferry. My two children 9yrs and 8yrs want us to book to go back. The staff were so friendly and very helpful when my children couldn't connect to the wifi. Nothing was a bother to the staff, very helpful. My children thought it was Paul's hotel, he was always there to give us help and advice.
