One of Padstow’s oldest buildings, this 16th-century family-run hotel is in a quiet part of the historic fishing town. It is less than 300 metres from the harbour, and offers free Wi-Fi and free parking on site.
Rooms at Tregea are elegant in design, and come with free tea and coffee-making facilities. Each has its own bathroom, and there is a plasma TV and DVD player in every room.
Cornish breakfast is provided each morning, served in the wooden-floored eating area. There is also a lounge and a bar, with an open fire to relax by and a range of drinks on offer.
Rick Stein’s Café is less than 5 minutes’ walk from Tregea, and the shops of the town centre are all easily accessible. A variety of wildlife can be seen in the surrounding area, from puffins to seals and basking sharks.

Very friendly, delicious breakfast, delightful lounge and lovely comfy room. Hotel had great ambience.
Stayed one night only, location good once finding property.
Pleasant stay.
The closeness to the amenities, the oldness of the property.
Nice bright room, not over looked, lovely breakfast.
Very friendly/laid back staff, great location.

Good location. Staff helpful when we got there. But no family rooms for a family of five (not unusual i would have thought ). Extra bed ordered but not there at check in.
Convenient for visiting Padstow. Tregea need a bit more attention to detail and cleaning.
The room was spacious and pleasant. Lovely breakfast.

Location
Building.
Location.
Not much going for it considering the price we had to pay and it was supposed to be 4*. Generally careworn and could do with major refurb of decor and you should not have to fight through the ivy to get in the front door. Difficult access to car park.
Padstow only.
free parking.
Location.
nothing.
Mould in shower and no socket near kettle.
Attention to detail could have been better.
No shower.
Cobwebs in the bedroom and the bathroom. we did not say anything as did not want to cause a fuss....The cleaner was not always very friendly.
something's were dusty
not every thing worked
the Wi-Fi was not working.
The stair carpet and wooden floors in public areas were filthy, the honesty bar (a quaint idea) was virtually unstocked, the toiletries were not replaced on a daily basis. It is overpriced by a factor of about 50%, I would revisit if it were £60 per night.
Decor and furniture in the rooms is rather dated. Shaverlight not working. No hot water one evening so no bath or shower,
Informed owner but no apology.
Stair carpets dirty.
Hotel was a bit shabby. Payment structure not explained, or acceptable ie deposit and then balance taken before the stay. This may be explained on the hotel website but not when booking through third party.
No staff on site other than at breakfast time and this was not explained.
No staff to greet upon arrival just a note with telephone number; no
staff on duty honesty bar: very little stock; very dirty stair carpet
very poor; breakfast was very low budget very poor food mushroom leaking
black fluid; no butter cheep spread; poor value for money.
As they never received our booking from you!!! it has caused us endless problems and also to Tregea.
floors were dirty, carpets needed cleaning. croissants at breakfast were dry and tasteless.
unmanned reception.
Staff were not available all the time, Television did not work.
Bathroom fittings loose, tea coffee not replenished, dusty, went out all
day and there was a dead fly on the bathroom floor when we left and was
still there when we returned even after they had supposed to have
tidyed the room.
Unclean carpets,small unusable bath/showerhead,poor facilities in room,poor breakfast,sour milk.
Many poor details contributed to lack of care for customers.
Poor nights sleep due to surrounding birdlife. Is a B&B not a hotel. Very tired building and decor. Not v clean.
Dirty carpets, rooms not cleaned, bathroom antiquated and damaged, decoration very poor badly need painting. Whole building covered in ivy could hardly find the door. Couldn't close bathroom window due to ivy invading bathroom and it was just beginning to turn cool.
The beds were two singles pushed together, the cushions were dirty, ivy growing in the inside bathroom, cracked floor tiles in bathroom, floorboards loose, stained carpets, stained chairs in dining room and very much over priced.
unwelcoming, minimal facilities no fixed shower or curtain shabby furnishings and dirty carpets .basic breakfast and remainder of fee taken from bank account a week before the stay very overpriced.
Filthy , grotty shower, fire doors wedged open,no wifi, minimal
toiletries and tea making facility. No plug in bathroom basin, toilet
had been badly repaired with a piece of wire and some sticky tape making
it very difficult to flush. I can't for the life of me understand
how this dump got a four star rating, this place won't do
letsbookhotel.com any good.
there was noone in attendance when we arrived theplace was dirty and untidy in the common areas when someone did arrive he was very off hand and and unapologetic. If I hadn't paid for this on my credit card I would not have stayed and am very sorry that I did I certainly would not recommend this hotel to anyone and I suggest you take them off your books.
