  I read other reviews after booking online and I thought I shouldn't have booked, but when we arrived I found it a nice budget hotel. Services are basic but not bad for that price. We were a family of 5 and we were given room 27 in the basement which was clean and comfy. The bathroom was clean. The weather wasn't too hot so we didn't have a problem... wat mensen zeggen » with closing the windows to avoid the noise outside but in hot weather I guess this will be a problem. Two minutes walk to the beach which is good fo - After seeing many bad reviews, I took a risk, paying only £30 for a double room for one night. It payed off, check in took 3 mins maximum, hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable, clean, and just what I needed after a night out in Bournemouth. Perfect hotel if you're socially visiting bournemouth's nightlife, or if you fancy a last minute stay. Like I said, I took a risk, and it payed off. I would defiantly stay here again.

  I did like the price. The hotel is in a perfect location, you can walk anywherr from the beach to oceanarium or bournemouth baloon within 5-10 mintes, there is asda and subway nearby. So you can easly get the essencial bits and bobs that u have forgoten to take for your holiday, or pop in to subway for a quick sub. Thats all about location from me... wat mensen zeggen » . Staff very friendly, we felt realy good there, breakfast was realy nice and in a good calm atmosphere, I did like the fact it was served between 8.3 - Every thing. Staff, comfort, location, cleanliness, fresh towels daily, in room tea/coffee making facilities topped up daily. Jorge was welcoming, friendly with good advice on where to go and how to get there. He prepared an early 7am breakfast and ordered a taxi for us on the morning of our departure as we had to catch an early train to London. Overall a very pleasent vacation and if we return to Bourne mouth we will definatly stay in the Shirley again.

The Deb Team enjoyed their stay and praised everything from; how spottlessly clean the hotel and rooms were, the extremely friendly service we received during our stay and the quality of the breakfast. We hope to return next year once the dates for the conference are announced. - The easy access to Bournemouth Town Centre, Shops and Buses, however the Parking was very limited at the hotel, but the proprietor had a well organised system for this problem. and there could be a problem for people with walking disabilities, as there was a steep hill to climb whichever nway you went. Having said that we certainly return again as our stay at the Blue Palms was most enjoyable.

  7 of us, all girls, stayed at the Croydon hotel as we were in Bournemouth celebrating a birthday for the weekend. Everything was perfect, we were made to feel welcome and well looked after. We didn't make breakfast on the first morning but were given a voucher to have breakfast at the local pub which we thought was a great idea! Rooms were spotles... wat mensen zeggen » s and had everything we needed. We can't say thankyou enough! Highly recommended and will defonately go back. Thankyou from 7 happy girls! - 7 of us, all girls, stayed at the Croydon hotel as we were in Bournemouth celebrating a birthday for the weekend.   Just like being at home, fabulous, the staff were very helpful with a relaxed but professional attitude.The breakfast was outstanding, more than we would have wished for..lovely fresh blueberries, strawberries and pineapple prepared with care. My husband had the English breakfast which was beautifully cooked to order and plentiful. Thank you all at theie Winter Dene, wish we could have stayed longer..next ti - I had booked a family room and on arrival we were shown both available family rooms and were given the choice of which room we preferred - not something I've experienced before. The room (12) was large, well set up for a family of 1 or 2 adults and 2 children as there is a king size double bed and two singles, with a pannelled wall separating adults from children, whilst still being in the same room. Hotel very clean and comfy for a family break.
