  I had a pleasant 2 nights stay whilst visiting Open golf championship (Muirfield, July 2013) Sakura is a clean & comfortable B&B, VFM for short stay in Edinburgh. The owner (Maggie) provides a friendly service, & delivers a decent breakfast to you room. Newington is an old town suburb with real ale pubs offering good food. The location is very well closed to the main street, where the bus station can take you to anywhere. In addition, we do appreciate the breakfast, which is really nice. If chanced, I will be here twice and more definitely!

  We arrived with our son who is wheelchair bound , and the owner couldn't have been more helpful. She even sent his breakfast up to him on a tray!!! FANTASTIC....The building couldnt have been more central!! All in all, a fantastic budget place to stay in Edinburgh.   Rob and Vicky made us feel welcome from the minute we made the booking, they were able to provide information that made our travel arrangements work better. It was no problem for them to allow us to arrive mid morning, Rod showed us a map of the city and was able to provide useful local knowledge throughout the whole of our stay. Breakfast was a hearty - Unlike the other guest houses I looked into, the room I booked was the room I had. It was very roomy and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I inquired via email about a room refrigerator- even though Valentine's didn't have one, I was told when I arrived that my suggestion was taken and some were ordered (unfortunately the company couldn't deliver it for my visit). Within walking distance of Castle and Old Town, it is located within New Town. Close to main bus routes and train station - car can be left at park and ride for free, then a cheap 30 minute ... wat mensen zeggen » bus ride gets you very close to the hotel. - I stayed for one night at the Edinburgh Townhouse, and the single room with ensuite was very comfortable. The Townhouse is about a 20 minute walk from Edinburgh, Waverley Rail Station, and situated on castle Street, just off Princes Street. I enjoyed a tasty, continental Breakfast in the morning.

The tour left very early and she arranged for an early breakfast even though they weren't open for breakfast yet.
