  had a nice relaxing stay. Cottage had just been re-furbished and was really warm and cosy. Owners were really helpful. Liked the fact that car could be parked just outside the cottage door. Bus to York ran every 30 minutes if you wanted to leave the car. Really enjoyable girly weekend. There was a new kitchen, new bathroom and the owners allowed us to check in very early at 11am. It was quite conveniently located close to the Park & Ride into York, which took only a couple minutes to drive to. Gary and his wife were very welcoming.

  the B&B was very quaint, my elderly parents were in the converted stable. It was an adorable room, good size and the largest bathroom we saw in Great Britain. It had a little frig too and was easy for my father to use as he required a walker. My room was in the main house, up some very steep narrow stairs. Getting my suitcase up those stairs... wat mensen zeggen » took some effort. But the room was clean if a little small, and I was quite comfortable. The owner gave us good directions to a nice little pub call - My wife and I stayed at the fifth milestone for two nights. This was our first get away for a long time and i couldn't be happier with our choice. We felt welcome from the moment we stepped out of the car. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better room, breakfast was delicious and there was great variety at the breakfast buffet. I honestly couldn't pick fault with a single thing. Our hosts were so welcoming, friendly and informative, even offering to book us in somewhere to eat dinner and arr

  We liked everything about the Windmill at Dunnington. It is easy to find just off the A64 and minutes from the city park and ride. The owners and staff were very welcoming, friendly, and efficient and the accommodation spotless and warm. There was an excellent choice of beers and wines but for us the superb quality (and quantity ! ) of the food ma... wat mensen zeggen » de our 40th Wedding Anniversary celebration complete. We have already recommended the Windmill to our friends and family and will definitely stay ther - The room was very clean and warm (it was a very cold November night). the staff made us most welcome but the best thing was the food in the pub which was of the highest standard, not just warmed up frozen food but real food cooked to order and such big helpings, you could see why the pub was full of locals enjoying a night out. We were lucky enough to get a special deal which made our stay even better value for money. Would stay here again if we were in the area. Highly recommended.

  I book a few hours before check in due to last miniute interview the next day in York. The distance was great and the welcome was amazing. She was very helpful and welcoming on to her b&B. Me and my boyfriend have never stayed In a b&b before and we loved it :) if u like your vintage signs and everything girly it's amazing !! Great price g... wat mensen zeggen » reat service and great breakfast :) if I ever go to York again I will be booking up again ! Couldn't be more happy :) - In nice village just outside York. Very quick and easy to get in York city. Secure free parking. Very helpful knowledgable about things to do in York. Offered alot of local advice. Good selection of local restaurants recommended by owner.all in all a very pleasant comfortable experience. Thank you very much.
