travel delays meant very late arrival even after advising staff it was after mid-night. We were greeted warmly by a member of staff and they assisted us with our bags to our room, the linen was crisp clean and drink facilities were to hand. Over the length of our stay the staff were attentive and the food was plentiful and well cooked.

As im disabled the hotel was nice and close to beach and shops it was a
pitty that the lift was out of order the time we were there but we were
offerd a ground floor room ,we found that Wendy was very helpfull at all
times , we would stay there again when we go to yarmouth thanks wendy

we enjoyed our stay at the canvendish hotel, it was very relaxing and calm, the room was perfect for us, the beds are very comfy had a wonderfull sleep, the baths were also very relaxing and warm. Very glad this was the hotel of our choice, deffinatley will be staying there again.
We only stayed for two nights, and on arrival we immediately found the Landlord to be friendly and helpful. We had a room with small en suite and a balcony, which had a view of the Pier and Sea. The Room was clean and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities.
Everything was amazing, the room was amazing, staff were so helpful and friendly, has such a nice bar, will defintly be returning soon.
The owners were really friendly and the location is about a 5 minute walk from the boardwalk. Breakfast was included, which was nice.
Fresh crisp white linen sheets and duvet, comfy bed. friendly staff. well cooked breakfast. ideal location.

nothing apart from, would of liked a better tv as it kept turning off. also would of liked a room with a blacony and view, only thing we didnt have in our room was a kettle but the staff sorted it out in no time.
Two simple things, no where to hang a damp towel and we found the TV a tad difficult to switch on. That's all.
Shower wasn't working properly at first but they managed to fix it for us in no time.
When we arrived, I said I was paying by card, but the owner requested cash, so I had to walk to the ATM first thing.

it was a bit cold with no heating on.
Decor was dated, sink was not fully attached to the wall and the hot tap was very loose. TV plug sparked when put into socket.
not a very nice smell when you first enter the building and they could not find us on the booking form.
When we arrived owners werent there ,some else was there,who h i thought was rather bad ,saw lady in evenin seemed nice .never saw her husband thow.room wasn't very clean ,wasn't room in picture( double room was tiny and loo was so small my arms touch walls .

I didnt like the room smelt of meldew a bed side lamp didnt work the towels dudnt dry us and coukd not get the shower at a consistent temp was either to hot or freezing cold ..orderd breakfast took half hour to get asked fir toast after 20 mins just left was very disappointed in the service and the hotel.
The room was filthy loads of mess and thick dust under the bed it smelt damp and musty and the bed was damp so much so we had to sleep on top of the beds fully clothed when we told the manager her husband started shouting at us and would not listen to us at all we would not recommend this guest house to anyone it really spoilt our break.
There was no tv reception in our room for the 4 days duration- very boring.
