  The friendly and helpful staff and excellent food we really enjoyed our stay we were not overwhelmed by the staff so were able to have a very comfortable and quiet time. The waitresses in the dinning room were pleasant and no gloomy faces always willing to help. - The whole time we were there we had an enjoyable time.   Everything was fine and what you want/expect for a night away. It was well situated for the local amenities and a stones throw from the picturesque walks along the river. The staff were all polite and helpful and I also like how the bar has been refurbished. As it was a nice warm evening we could enjoy having a drink in the garden. Being able to u... wat mensen zeggen » se the carpark for the whole of my stay was also very useful. - We liked the olde worlde feel to the hotel but without the feeling of dilapidation that you often find in older hotel buildings. We had comfortable brass and iron beds (unusual for a hotel) which I really enjoyed. The food was good, staff friendly and helpful and the location on the edge of Blandford was excellent.

  Very friendly and welcoming. The owners even stayed up to greet us at midnight after we arrived from our wedding, and had kindly left champagne in our room. Even though we only told them it was our wedding the day before when dropping off our car! The location was very quiet yet only a few minutes off the main road, convenient as we had to get to the airport the next morning. Highly re - A warm welcome awaits vistors to this stunning family home. Tea and home-made cake on arrival with friendly chat from Bill, with recommendations for dining out and tours. Room was gorgeous and comfortable. Breakfast was the best! Fresh fruit salad, cereal selections, wonderful Farmhouse fry-up from Shan with toast, tea & coffee a plenty. Walking distance to pub (bring a torch) and great base to explore Dorset.
