  The hotel staff are very friendly, cheerful, accomodating and helpfull. The hotel atmosphere is cosy and homely. Breakfast is wonderful and the room very clean and cosy. The room has coffee/tea facility but they provide hot water in a flask. Having a small child, I need an electric kettle to make milk at night. I didnt bother asking them to provid... wat mensen zeggen » e, and bought one the next day. To my delight, they sent me an electric kettle in the afternoon. My only regret is that was not able to say goodbye an - If you look for a perfectly located hotel with local flair, you will love Djem. We booked a de Luxe room (located on the second floor in the building facing the mosque). Here, the view is magnificent. The owner runs a shop in the nearby art bazaar and all over the hotel and the room you will find beautiful examples of traditional and contemporary Kelim art. Personnel is great and speaks good to excellent English. Of course you hear the Muezzin at night, but that just adds to the oriental charms

It was super budget friendly but also had really beautiful rooms, really clean and the staff were amazing! it has has a kitchenett so you can make your own meals and the rooms are really spacious.   Location is just perfect - 5 min walk to the Blue Mosque and Aya Sofia. Nice breakfast at the terrace - though the terrace is in another hotel (5 min walk) which was weird. Rooms are okay - middle level but clean. Very helpful staff though speaking hardly any language apart from Turkish)) (in our building) Rooms were cleaned properly and on time.... wat mensen zeggen » - Although we had reserved the Appart Hotel Hippodrome we were lodged at the Hippodrome Hotel. We found the hotel very good, extremelly well located, and with a very good quality- price ratio in november.
