  We were really happy about the apartment as we booked last minute. We were a group of 4 people and we wanted to celebrate the birthday of one of us in Istanbul. The apartment had only 1 double bedroom so the other couple had to sleep in the living room. The living room had a comfortable sofa bed which turned in - If you want to be close to the historical highlights, but avoid tiny hotel rooms in touristy streets, this is the place to go. The apartment is simple but charming in the classic wooden house style of Istanbul and a bay window overlooking a buzzing little square with shops and restaurants (very quiet at night though) and, on higher floors, even the sea.   What is not to like about this hotel... The location and staff are a standout!! The boys on the front desk were more than helpful and made great recomendations! The area is surrounded by lovely shops and cafes and a pleasant walk over the bridge to Saltanahmat or along Istiklal St to Taksim square (it is also very close to the metro and tram if yo... wat mensen zeggen » ur legs get a little tired). I will definitely recommend this hotel to all my friends and family :) - We stayed here for 5 nights and found Galata34 to be in a perfect central location for our time in Istanbul. Only 100m from Galata tower and an easy walk or tram to both Taksim and Sultanahmet. The rooms were really clean, comfortable and spacious considering the affordable price. The staff were welcoming and willing to help us with transport and any questions we had about our time in Turkey. Highly recommend this hotel!
