  Bijzondere locatie. Berghotel met voldoende comfort. - The Avila is set in stunning mountain scenery. The hotel is more like a posh mountain hut. It is set in the high mountains up a dirt road, access is best by cable car from Fuente De, if you tell the cable car ticket office, the hotel charges the cost at only 6 euros not the 16 euros listed at... wat mensen zeggen » the cable car.ststion. They also offer a free landrover taxi uphill back to the hotel at the end of the stay. The food in the restaurant was godd and not to expensive. - A hotel of this quality so far from the rest of the world is hard to find. Being in the middle of National park and at 1666 metres makes it hard to beat. Pleasant staff and cable car to get there just add to it all.

  Lovely looking hotel with a splendid location and stunning view. It was the first hotel of our trip to Spain and we did not know what to expect. The hotel is full of old charm with lots of wood panelling & tiled floors. It was beautifully clean and in good condition. Our room was comfortable and reasonably spacious and had a balcony with a... wat mensen zeggen » n outlook over the mountains. The staff were friendly and with their little English and our limited Spanish we managed to communicate OK. Outside on - We had a lovely night at the hotel. The room was very clean and warm, and the view was amazing. The bar had a lovely open fire. We ate in there as it was a quiet period, but the dining room looked amazing. The Hotel had lots of old charm, and the family who own it are very nice. Unfortunately we know very little Spanish so could not converse too much.
