Location Wonderful Very Clean Internet Speed
Nothing to mention
Great View from Balcony. Lots of windows.
Construction noise from dawn to dusk on nearby building. Small slow elevator. Was always crowded. Breakfast was not included.
The young lady at the reception desk was very helpful. She spoke Spanish to a man I needed to see to retrieve my suitcase and printed the directions to his address for me.
Spotlessly clean and good variety of items for breakfast. Very convenient location - easy walking distance to city centre. Close to a metro station, therefore journey from airport easy, involving only 1 change.
A bit confusing at first as rooms are scattered about with other businesses sharing floor space. Main reception on 6th floor and lift only big enough for 1 person with a suitcase.
-the place in the center
I only stayed for two nights and found everything perfect, I liked it more than I expected.
Location, comfortable and very clean.
The staff is very helpful, would definitely consider going back if I need to.
Everything was perfect.
very good position, clean, HD TV, all day long reception (even during week-end)
no foreign TV channels (not a big issue, I saw the F1 race on a Spanish channel); not very rich breakfast (the same every day), but for 3 days it's ok
Location, friendly staff, breakfast, clean room, price
TV channels only in Spanish, hard beds, minibar does not cool.
perfect location, helpful and polite staff. rooms are fine and clean at first but no one cleaned it while i stayed there. (2days)
breakfast was weak. there is a door between rooms which was quiet disturbing. my next door neighbours tried to open it at 3 am. it was scary, impolite and noisy.
Room designs, bathroom cleanliness and smart details. Very comfortable beds!
The reception staff - Yanina and Anna - were very friendly and extremely helpful. The bed was really comfortable and the room very clean and well serviced.
The noise from Gran Via - the hotel needs double glazed windows.
The entrance is a bit unwelcoming.
good location in the center walking distance to the sighseing places silent at night
great location, near Plaza de espana and right on the Gran via.
Breakfast is quite nice/cleanliness/friendliness of staffs/ the amenities such as the mini fridge!
Very affordable, clean rooms
A little bit noisy (Gran Vía is a busy street even at nights). Breakfast is a bit lacking. Couldn't get an invoice at checkout, they will supposedly mail it to me...
Very nice in general the receptionist was very good and tried to help
kindly and answered to all questions. Very good for the price, location
and very clean, definitly will recomnded to any one. I booked for one
night and had to stay for two and they charged same price for the second
night ...Good service
Located exactly in the Avenue Gran Via, very close to the Esponia square, being convenient for shopping, transportation etc..
Each room has a small terrace, tea and cookies provided in the room.
May need a more explicit sign outside the hotel building...
The very friendly and helpful staff. The cleanliness and the excellent location.
A bit difficult to discover, in spite of the fact that it is very close to the metro.
Excellent Location right in Gran Via.
Good Internet speed.
Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious enough for two. Yummy breakfast buffet. Great location, walking distance from all the great sights!
In the night you can hear quite a bit of noise from the Gran Via road.
The hotel room was very comfortable, had good AC, and the location on Gran Via couldn't be beat.
The hotel is located in a huge building and is not well marked outside on the street.
Clean, modern rooms, good bathrooms, ok breakfast and nice location. A perfect choice for the independent traveller not using bars, restaurants and spas.
Very good location, on a grand boulevard, near Plaza de Espana metro
station (under 100m); we found an "All you can eat" restaurant
near by, with good food at a very good price (10 euro/person). We
were very much impressed by their staff, in particular by Mr. Javier
Ruiz at the reception. He was always ready to help, very friendly,
always wearing a smile and answering to all of our questions (believe
me, they weren't just a few). He assisted us in finding our way into
town, in providing access to office facilities and internet (good
quality connection) and in booking airport transfer services. We've
got ourselves a friend back there, whom we hope too keep in touch with.
The hotel is located in a building with many other companies and
sometimes it was difficult to use the small elevator in order to go to
the upper floors where the accommodation was. Poor breakfast.
1. Location (Grand Via)
2. Clean and net room.
3. Electric pot.
Breakfast is too late.
Great Central location close to Metro, Theatres etc. Thanks to previous
reviews finding it wasn't a problem though even once there a sign
indicating what floor reception was on would be helpful.
Hotel spread over upper floors of mansion block with ancient lift system
making movement between Bedroom/Breakfast Room/Reception a bit
of a lottery. No big deal really
Situated on the busy shopping street of Gran Via and easily accessible by metro and close to a lot of tourist attractions. The room size is reasonable and the bathroom is clean and spacious.
Not much. Could add a bit of variety to their breakfast offering, like a bit of local stuff?
The location of the hotel was really appropiate for tourists. Its 50 mts away from Plaza España metro station and located in Gran Via avenue which is like teh Times Square in NYC. you can find a lot of restaurants, theaters, places to eat and stores in the same street. its located near somo of the historical places of Madrid and if you like to walk you can find them all close to the hotel. the rooms wre clean and comfortable. try to choose the ones that have a balcony or terrace so that you can enjoy the view. the staff of the hotel was really nice and they helped us when we needed them, specially Xavier who helped a friend that suffers from fear to the elevators. the hotel offers very good price for its location, we were very pleased. It is very safe too. on our next visit to Madrid we will choose it again. The breakfast was good and complete. the lady that attended the bar was very kind.
the elevator is tiny, only fits 2 people and their lugagge.
very clean hotel, cooperative staff, all modern facilities,in the center of the city and very near to all the city touristic locations, metro is few meteres near by(Plaza de Espana)
elevator is somties crowded but this is really in not big deal
Great location in city center. Ever tourist attraction within walking distance.
Few people speak English. Communicating is not easy.
Every thing is the best.
The brand of the hotel is not very clear and it is also can not to
locate in google maps. It made me a little bit worry before arrival.
Ok It's not a hotel: no bar, reception daytime hours. But value for money is extraordinary: rooms have everything and everything works. Many rooms have small terraces, not balconies, some with amazing views. I have always slept very well here: comfortable, no intrusive noise.
And the position is very central, with great bars and restaurants close off both sides of the Gran Via.
I like everything, but guests should be aware that the building is shared with many medical facilities, hence during the day there can be await for lifts.
Really great value for money.
It was a little confusing when we arrived as it's on the sixth floor of an office building.
Great location on Gran Via. Very close to a metro stop (Plaza Espanya)
The room was small but very comfortable and clean, plus they offered a nice breakfast.
I would stay here again.
the place is clean, the room were comfortable, the staff was friendly and professional,
there is no clear sign for the place you have to search for the entrance,
the breakfast was typically the same for each day
The location. There was also a computer with internet for the guests.
The girl at the reception tried to accomodate me in a very bad room like a cupboard without external view despite of my reservation, where it was written the room has a balcony. After my request I have been removed in better room.
Inner court view.
The hotel is very clean, and in an excellent location in a very vibrant street in Gran Via. The staff are very helpfull
The staff are not good in English but they do their best to help you
Great hotel! I stayed in three hotels in Madrid and this was the best! The room was very attractive and had a balcony that overlooked the palace and the surrounding neighborhood. I was on the 9th floor and would recommend it to others. I read others complain about the elevators. There are two lifts for nine floors, but I never had to wait long for one. Room comes with a refrigerator, but you have to remove all the minibar drinks to make room for your own things. Wifi worked fine in the room. The location is a little away from the nightlife areas, but a metro stop is right near the hotel and Sol is just two stops away.
Room was a little small, but not bad. Man at reception didn't speak much English, but good enough.
Very good location
Beds were not comfortable
This is not a hotel: it has no bar etc. But the rooms are very well designed: everything works perfectly and many rooms have delightful terraces/balconies.
Value for money is astounding. I could not recommend more highly.
Excelent location, silent place, very good price to stay in
Little language difficulties :)
Everything new, the shower spacious with thermostat and pre-setting, the balcony, the quiet, the staff, the location, the tv, the cleanliness, the setout, the minibar and tea-making facilities.
Bed was new and therefore a bit hard.
Everything! The hotel is perfectly located, it's really close to
Plaza de España metro station and it's on gran vía! On top of that,
the facilities are quite good, the rooms are big enough and mine had a
balcony, so I couldn't have asked for more. Last but not least, the
staff are lovely, they go out of their way to help you, especially
Javier the night receptionist, who was extra helpful to me. I didn't
have time to have breakfast, so I can't comment but hey, at least
they offer it.
The hotel was exactly as described and located next to the Plaza de
espana. Perfect for sighting and using the metro. The room was simple,
clean and comfortable and quiet with the windows closed. The staff was
pleasant but did not speak much English or French. Google translate
helped a lot!
Finding the hotel was difficult although I was aware of the entrance
through the medical clinic door. My recommendation is print the photo of
the entrance and bring it with you!
Confort and quality of installaions.
Very noisy avenue.
raport pret/calitate corect
value for money,clean, great location
traffic noise on Gran Via
Very clean and loved the fact that we had a patio! Excellent
Only de-caf coffee sachets in room (minor complaint!)
Interesting hystorical bulding of the hotel, good view from the terrace
Issues with car parking.
