  This was the most comfortable bed of our trip! I wish we could have packed it up and taken it with us... We only stayed here one night after arriving in Madrid at the very beginning of our trip. We can't comment on the location for exploring the area, but it was quite easy to get there from the airport and the metro station is right beside it whic... wat mensen zeggen » h made it really easy to get to the bus station in the morning! - The location is perfect, you can even walk into the city if you don't take the metro. The bed was comfortable. Good breakfast for the price in a nice room with a view.Friendly staff. We got a room with window to the atrium and it was very quiet.

  The staff was really nice and at our service all the time. It was very clean and the two bedroom room is relly big and has it's own bathroom, and the price for 6 days was excellent. The location of the hostel is very good, everything in the center of Madrid is nearby, in the walking distance, especially the most famous museums in Madrid. Your really cant complain too much when it's about 30 euros a night in this location. Facility is a bit outdated, but it is cheaper and yet still a lot better and more comfortable than most hostels in Europe of that price range. It is clean for the most part and staff is friendly. We got a three people room for 30 a night.

  This is a real hotel, not a B&B. They have 24 hour desk coverage, secure luggage storage, a few vending machines, and their own cafeteria which we did not take advantage of. There is a bar with a pretty good calamari on a bun sandwich and a great bakery with a special 2for1 croissants for one Euro next door. WiFi in room. The balc - The location of the building right in front of Atocha train station, very helpful if you are traveling by train to other cities or to take the airport bus. Also an excellent location to visit the 3 most important museum in Madrid; the Reina Sofia Museum is right next door, the Thyssen and El Prado museum are about 2-3 blocks from the hotel.   This was our third visit to the Cervantes, so you can see we like it! The staff, Fabio and his assistant, are very friendly, and you are at once on first name terms. The rooms are very small, so don't take too much luggage! They are comfortable and clean, and some are very quiet. The ancient lift, recently inspected for safety, is more efficient than many in large hotels! Above, all the location is excell - The Cervantes hostel is very well situated, 10 minutes walk to the Atocha train station and 10 minutes walk to the Puerta del Sol. Staff and owner are very kind, smart people. Bed is very comfortable, claned rooms and bathrooms, which are inside the rooms.

  Room was so clean, sheets fresh and crisp, so quiet, family run hostal, everyone including the parents pleasant and lovely. The two brothers do a marvelous job. Our train back to Barna was not til 530 so they kept our bags after we checked out at 9 am until about 4 when we started for the train. A hidden gem. - - Javier and staff did everything they could to help us, even with particular requests, and volunteered recommendations for us in the city, very friendly - We were given a choice of rooms on arrival - Great location, all of central Madrid was accessible - quiet, pretty street close to plenty of great bars, bakeries and restaurants - Would definitely stay again!

Also close to shops, a laundromat, restaurants and a 10 minute walk to the metro. The hosts didn't speak much English but were very friendly and helpful.
