  Communication beforehand was very good, both on the phone with Elena (I assume) and Luis, who showed me into the apartment, and who really remembered to tell me everything that I usually forget about temporarily when checking into apartments, like internet passwords, keys, and where to find the next supermarket. I also liked the decor very much, and everything was very clean. Value - Perfect location for us, apartment very smart with a lovely feeling to it, very easy to stroll back to for a "siesta" before embarking out again to soak up more of Madrid and eating more of the amazing food. Brilliant coffee/cake shop 2 min from the door by the way! We had a late flight home and staff let us leave bags in a secure room in their offices 10 min stroll from apartment to pick up after taking in more of the city which was great.   In early Aug 2013, it was very hot in Madrid. I arrived to find there was no aircon in any room due to a generator failure. Too tired to relocate I stayed anyway. It was a very hot and uncomfortable night. The following day, management were quick to apologize, gave the first night free and upgraded my status to include b'fast for all 3 mornings of... wat mensen zeggen » my stay. Bravo! If this is an indication of Eurostar policy, I am impressed. - Hotel is renovated and is very trendy, our room was good and clean. Cleaning was done well. We had no problems at all. We didn't take breakfast so cannot comment on it. It is well situated, with a tube stop just 3 minutes walk from the door. All major tourists sites are withing walking distance, Plaza del Sol only 5-7 mins away (Prado musem is about 15-20 minutes, so as Plaza Espania).

It is an immaculate,tastefully decorated, comfortable, spacious, brand new flat on two levels in an old building; all the of the furniture/bedding/towels were modern and new. This apartment is in the best location you can ever imagine. The bathrooms are great with good water power. Anyhow, it was a very nice apartment and it as convenient.
