  Staff was helpful, smiley and made you feel welcome. The place was very clean and tidy all over and the decor was quite decent with nice design touches that made it feel fresh, simple and modern. My single room was just right and the shower room was nice and everything worked as it should. There was a flatscreen and ac and plenty of space to ve around.   This was our third visit to the Cervantes, so you can see we like it! The staff, Fabio and his assistant, are very friendly, and you are at once on first name terms. The rooms are very small, so don't take too much luggage! They are comfortable and clean, and some are very quiet. The ancient lift, recently inspected for safety, is more efficient than many in large hotels! Above, all the location is excell - The Cervantes hostel is very well situated, 10 minutes walk to the Atocha train station and 10 minutes walk to the Puerta del Sol. Staff and owner are very kind, smart people. Bed is very comfortable, claned rooms and bathrooms, which are inside the rooms.

  The location was excellent - within easy walking distance to central Madrid attractions - literally 5 minutes to the Prado. Also close to shops, a laundromat, restaurants and a 10 minute walk to the metro. The hosts didn't speak much English but were very friendly and helpful. If you're looking for something fancy, this isn't the place. However, if you want something comfortable at a great price, go for it. Good restaurants just across the street. We are 70 and had to walk up one flight of stairs only. The manager got our bags and was so helpful. Our own bathroom, very quiet and safe area. Not luxury, but very adequate and so inexpensive...we stayed two nights before our tour of Spain started and would stay here again for longer!

  Room was so clean, sheets fresh and crisp, so quiet, family run hostal, everyone including the parents pleasant and lovely. The two brothers do a marvelous job. Our train back to Barna was not til 530 so they kept our bags after we checked out at 9 am until about 4 when we started for the train. A hidden gem. - - Javier and staff did everything they could to help us, even with particular requests, and volunteered recommendations for us in the city, very friendly - We were given a choice of rooms on arrival - Great location, all of central Madrid was accessible - quiet, pretty street close to plenty of great bars, bakeries and restaurants - Would definitely stay again!

  I really enjoyed my stay here at Residencia Lourdes. The women who runs this hostel is very nice and is more than willing to give you advice on where to go and places to have fun.   There was a lot to like about this hostal. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The place was extremely clean. Our room was pretty small but for a budget option we didn't expect it to be large. One of the best things about Hostal Zamora is the location. You can walk to all the big tourist attractions-Puerta del Sol, the Prado and other art... wat mensen zeggen » museums, and the Palacio Real. There are scads of restaurants all around. You'd think it would be noisy but it's not. It's on a quiet square so yo - I am so sorry that I haven't asked the name of that super professional and kind guy at the reception. He was extremely careful, helped us out with all our questions and made sure that we were comfortable and safe all the time. The three recommendations he gave us (breakfast place, lunch place and pizza place) were all great. The hotel itself was not exactly what we were waiting for, but the location is great and everything was so easy. Recommend it.

  I enjoyed how the location most. It was in the heart of Madrid and close to a lot of cool places. - All facilities good. Bit of a bother finding a park, but they'll give you one for 7 euro.
