The staff members went beyond the call of duty on more than one occasion to accommodate us and make our stay as pleasant as possible. Facilities are basic however for the money you would be hard pushed to find somewhere as good as this place. Also taking the location into consideration, I don't believe more facilities would benefit the hostal much

The Hostal is run by extreamly polite Indian gents and is in a perfect location for a city visit (only yards from the Ramblas). I saw reviews criticizing the wi-fi but I had a strong connection all holiday. We stayed in a double en-suite room and although basic, it was immaculatly clean, with beds made up each day and clean towels every 2 days. The bed was extreamly comfortable and there was always plenty of hot water in the shower. Great place to stay if you want a cheap holiday. ps. felt ver

Fabulous ever changing show to watch from the room, not noisy during normal sleeping hours. In the heart of the old city, yet tucked away. We walked everywhere. Helpful, friendly, efficient staff. Location of the hotel is excellent. Close to a metro station and in the middle of Las Ramblas and El Borne. In winter, el borne is a better place to be close rather than since la rambla. The staff has made really nice improvements and facilities in the hotel, that's nice. But some of the stuff like towels and sheets are really too old.

Central location is perfect for walking all over town. It is right by
Placa Catalyna where the buses from the airport arrive and metro station
as well as trains out of Barca. Our second stay we were given room 202
which is a double with on-suite bath and a balcony onto main street.
People watching was great fun. Lots of flags hanging from balcony.

english helpful/friendly, the night staff generally doesn't know
anything other than Spanish & a lot stricter, but was the same at

The location was wonderful. Had very close access to everything we wanted to do and see. You could have an inexpensive quick meal or sit down for a more elegant dining experience and all within a two minute walk. The staff was wonderfully helpful and competent. Santiago was a tremendous help to me when I was have some trouble with my airline. Everything is easily within walking distance. All in all it was a great location. We did have a room that did not face the street so we slept comfortably

The location is superb, just off La Ramblas. The hotel staff were excellent, very friendly and able to answer any questions we had. The rooms are simple but spotlessly clean. We were at the front of the hotel, so we had a small balcony overlooking the street. There is a lift, essential for people like me who have difficulty with stairs.

Hotel Condal is located in the heart of the La Rambla. It is so convenient to walk 30m and then to enter the La Rambla. The many restaurants, shops and attractions in close proximity of the hotel is a bonus. The reception of the hotel is very helpful, knowledgeable,efficient and available 24hr. Couldn't ask for a better location, right next to the metro and on las ramblas. Our room was really modern and exceptionally clean with a balcony overlooking las ramblas. Excellent value for money, especially as we got one large room for four of us. Raj on reception was so friendly and helpful, and went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. I will definitely be staying again!

Midden in bruisende centrum maar in het hotel heb je daar geen last van, en een goed verzorgd en uitgebreid ontbijt aan leuke tafeltjes in de lobby - Fantastische ligging, goeie (harde) bedden en een schone kamer. Er was een laptop met internetverbinding beschikbaar in de lobby.
