  Excellent place to stay, offering fantastic value for money. Very spacious room with comfortable double bed, extra single bed and a large flatscreen TV. The bathroom was ample size with powerful shower, nice toiletries and the very useful touch of disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste (great as we had forgotten these!) Facilities are very impress... wat mensen zeggen » ive for the price. The room was spotlessly clean and fresh smelling. We arrived at midnight and the lady who greeted us at reception was very friendly - Comfort, warm welcome, very clean and very cute decoration. i appreciated the books available to read, the warm in the room...i was there for a concert so it was the perfect hotel and made my stay and weekend in Madrid PERFECT. We were placed in a huge room at no extra cost. Very clean. Quite an experience for us even !though we know Madrid well. - The biggest bonus of this little family-run place is its unrivalled location facing the Royal palace. Staff are very responsive and punctual and the place has the charm of a 18th century building.

  We spent just one night at the Hostal Macarena, when passing Madrid on our way back from holiday. It's a lovely place in the heart of Madrid (Plaza Mayor is just behind the corner!), surrounded by many bars, restaurants and little stores. The room is quite small, but well equipped and clean. Staff doesn't speak very good English, but is very nice.... wat mensen zeggen » I'd recommend this place especially for young people - as it's situated in the very city centre, everybody's partying and so it's quite noisy till la - Location, location, location! Two steps from the plaza Mayor and many other attractions, located on a little street with animation. Staff is courteous and helpful. They kept our luggage all day so we could walk around freely untill we left to take the train. Room was clean, confortable and big enough. Very good quality for the price. I recommend this hotel wihtout any hesitation.

  Absolutely loved the Casa de Madrid- easily one of the loveliest places we have ever stayed. All the staff were exceptionally friendly, nothing was too much trouble, really genuinely lovely people taking great care to make our holiday as good and memorable as it could be. There is a great pride in the owner and the people who work there of the traditional and beautiful bui - It's not a hotel in conventional way. I like the ambience and all the elegant deco with a home style. Quite and lots of privacy in good location like this is really extrodinary. Very friendly staff provided good help on the train schedule and wifi in short/late time. We met the hostress when leaving at the door and she was a nice lady! Unique experience and strongly recommend to those people interested in culture.

The hostal is really close to the Palacio, ideal if you are going to watch a concert as it's only a short walk. the staff are lovely, very friendly. - Ideal to visit palacio vistalegre .   De eigenares van het hotel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam; perfecte gastvrouw. Spreekt alleen Spaans, maar met een beetje handen-en-voeten-werk is er goed uit te komen. De locatie is perfect voor praktisch alle leuke barrio's / stadswijken (centro, la latina, chueca, salamanca etc.). Er is een computer met gratis internet. - Het is een aanrader!... wat mensen zeggen » De eigenaresse spreekt geen woord engels, maar met handen en voeten heeft ze ons alles tot in de puntjes uitgelegt. Het ziet er keurig uit, alles is zeer netjes, midden in het centrum dus alles op loop afstand. Mooie moderne kamers.

  gezellig en mooi, proper hotel - Zeer aardig personeel, ging direct aan de slag om de reservering aan te passen toen er iets niet helemaal klopte. Kamer werd direct met spoed schoongemaakt. En werd ook zeer goed schoongehouden. Erg nette kamer, gezellig en met goede bedden. Zeer centrale ligging in het centrum van Madrid!
