  we dachten dat we in het hostel sliepen maar we werden naar het hotel gestuurd, erg prettig! - The staff at the Anker Hotel was very nice friendly. The breakfast was excellent. - I'll stay there next time

  The Ellingsens Pensjonat is exactly in the oldest tram-line of Oslo, (1875), the "Holtegata" street! Its next to the shopping street "Bogstadveien". The line 19 comes every 10 minutes from 5am 'till late and bring you all the way down to the city center in around 7 minutes passing through the beautiful neighbourhood of Uranienborg. The bathroom a the opposite of the reception could be rebuilt - Located in a nice area close to the embassy district and well serviced with trams. However, I would recommend the using the city cycle hire network for which there is a stand just across the road. You can buy a card from the tourist information to use these and it is a great way to get around Oslo. The pensjonat is very clean and decorated in a modern style with very friendly and helpful staff.
