  Good location about ten mins walk from the main area but nice for us to have a walk rather than be in the centre of everything. The owner was super helpful and welcoming.   Our stay at The Kaikoura Gateway Motor Lodge began with an easy check in at which time the owner upgraded us to a one bedroom free of charge. Nice!! The suite was spacious and well laid out with a well appointed kitchen and there was a walk out to a balcony with chairs and a table. The location was easy walking distance to town so we walked there ... wat mensen zeggen » to pick up dinner at a local fish and chip shop - blue cod grilled to perfection! Try the bbq shack down by the beach - we had crayfish (lobster) and - Excellent staff... The owners were helpful and informative, and the accommodation was spacious and comfortable. It far exceeded the usual tourist motel accommodation in NZ. There was also a playground opposite in alarge park for the kids to expend energy. Excellent accommodation, don't even consider anywhere else.

  Wonderful host who couldnt have done more for us.. we left a bottle of wine in the fridge and she went to great effort to get it back to us. Not to mention the views are spectacular and is just a great place to stay.   To be honest, after reading the reviews for this hotel I was not expecting very much at all, but I wanted somewhere cheap (and this was the cheapest by heaps for my family of four). I was very pleasantly suprised when we arrived.... The room was spotless, especially the bathroom and also the kitchen. The sheets were clean, the towels were pure whi... wat mensen zeggen » te and I could not find a complaint with the place. Plenty of room for us all, with everything we needed while we were there. The staff were also very - The staff were great for attending to our needs. they are a 25 minute walk from town, we had a bus to catch at 4pm and we were able to walk into town in the morning and they kindly dropped our luggage off to us later in the afternoon so we didnt have to walk back to get it. They do the free drop off and pick up which was unbelievably helpful. It was a great price for the room we had. We required a later check out and they extended it by an hour which was more than enough and at no extra charge.

  Modern, clean, spacious, They have thought of everything. Loved the robes, real coffee. Look out was great. Will come back again & recommend to others - The owners organized for us activities like swim with seals, a lovely seafood dinner at the town center (thank you Judy for a lift :-)

  The caring attention of the owners, the very comfortable bed and bath, both appeared very new. They are constantly working on improving your experience. Stepping out the door to a wonderful view; walking easily into the village or out on the point. ... wat mensen zeggen » One could easily spend a week there and come home rested and relaxed. It began my 3&1/2 week vacation in NZ on a high. Thank you again, - This is a new venture for Kylie and Luke, and is still being developed.when we stayed they had one large bedroom ensuite finished. We had a guest lounge with the tea, coffee facilities and continental breakfast . The free wifi was constant and no problems. Kylie and Luke were friendly, helpful and knowledgable about the area,the B and B is in a good position for the facilities at kaikoura, and the White Morph served a wonderful meal. Good luck with their venture, they are so enthusiastic.

  Everything was great. The manager was really friendly and showed us around the room. Amazing fireplace and modern decor. Very eco friendly. Highly recommended!! - It was great. The people were really nice and the apartment really couldn't get any better. Loved the gas fire and the spa bath. Excellent!

  All the facilities were very opulent. The breakfast was excellant. We didn't get a chance to sample the culinary delights but this was not a problem as we were warned in advance.
