It is located on an elevation outside the town, which can be reached by a quarter-hour walk down an attractive hillside path or a few minutes drive. A pleasant, if hilly, walk down through fields to the beach and two restaurants. It was a little way out of town so a car would be required for further restaurants and shops.

  The room was warm and inviting when we arrived. The room was impressively clean. The beds were comfortable, had electric blankets and there were plently of towels. We could hear the waves right across the road as we went to sleep. In the morning we were treated to an amazing view of the mountains which had received a dusting of snow overnight.   I liked the guy that runs it, very "salt of the earth" and a happy sort of a chappy. He gave us a voucher for the Pier Hotel where we'd booked for dinner so we got a free wine and beer with our meal. I loved it in the morning when the sunrise looked like it was coming across the water especially for me. I had a nice early morning walk on the beach... wat mensen zeggen » with that golden sunrise. I also liked that it had an ashtray outside our door on a wee table so I didn't have to feel like a scumbag for having a co - Friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable and a great location close to the sea. Value for money. Nice to have outside furniture to use and able to fit bigger group.

  Excellent host. Beautiful views. Judy is a very welcoming and outstanding host full of local knowledge, stories and tourist advice. Very warm and well heated home. Bed was really comfy. Bedroom was spacious and had tables/trunks for suitcases. Private bathroom was very spacious. Continental breakfast laid out in the morning was generous and beyond... wat mensen zeggen » our expectations. Chocolate muffins on arrival were yummy and a lovelly suprise after travelling. We would highly recommend Brook House B&B and h - This was the only B&B we stayed at during our 3 week tour of the South Island. We were in Queen Room#3 which was very comfy, with a private bathroom off the hallway outside our room(as advertised). There is a guest kitchen/dining and lounge area leading to a wrapround balcony overlooking the garden. As the house was set down an easement off the main highway, it was nice and quite.   Enjoyed our stay, great value for money. We had a late check-in as we drove from Nelson after work, someone was there waiting for us. Stayed in a en-suite private room which was clean and tidy and a decent size. Went swimming with dolphins at 5:00am, got a good nights sleep and left keys on the reception desk in the morning. Really close to the Do... wat mensen zeggen » lphin Encounter. Staff even invited us back after the swim to use the communal showers before heading off to Christchurch. Great stay would recommend. - It has a nice, relaxing atmosphere, a beautiful garden and a terrace and the double rooms are really cosy and with nice garden views - and if you get close to the window, even sea views. Take good care of the old cat lady! If she wants to go into the shower to drink, let her! Go seal swimming while in Kaikoura, it's great!

  The manager Kuini was very helpful to us. I left my camera outside on a bench. Kuini found it and put it in the office. When we were in Duniden I e-mailed to see if they had found a camera. Kuini of course had and offered to currior it to Queenstown our next stop. She sent it and we got it at the desk of the Copthorn. Christine Barents - The view, free parking, the staff and the friendly people I met whilst there ! Quiet and relaxing place to stay.

  We only had the opportunity to stay one night. Had we known what a lovely place it was, with such a fabulous location/views we would have altered our holiday to stay a little longer. The hotel is currently adding more accommodation upstairs and will be wonderful when complete. Staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble, even offered to extend our checkout without our asking due to boat trip not finishing till after scheduled checkout time. Food in restaurant was amazing and reasonably priced. Will def recommend to anyone visiting Kiakoura.
