  Well, nothing to write home about but it had all we needed. Spacious room with king size bed, clean, air conditioning, swimming pool (as Merida is not by the sea) and very close to the centre without being at the centre. Breakfast is ok but comes at an extra cost. Big plus the parking space - if you have a car you'll need that in Merida. - The lo... wat mensen zeggen » cation is ideal. Close to the center but far enough away to be quiet at night. Nice pool and staff were friendly and very helpful. Has free parking on site which is a plus too. We would stay here again.

  I chose the Casa Chalia because the reviews rated the hosts and breakfast so highly and I was not a bit disappointed. When you arrive you do not find a grand lobby but you do get a welcome that makes you feel as if you are at home, and have someone to turn to should you have any questions about getting around Merida.   Swimming pool Food Room - The buffet at the restaurant was great and reasonably priced. The bed was comfortable, and I was able to watch a Sunday Night Football game, although the reception made it look like a snowstorm and it was in spanish. It was clean and sufficient for the night.
