  The very charming and welcoming owners, who were very kind to me, offering me hot tea and fresh fruits every evening for my coming back 'home'. This ryokan is definitely a good place to sleep, very calm and clean.   The hostel is full of information. You can find information about sounkyo easily. The location is not too far from bus stop but we arrive there at night time so it is a bit difficult to find. Luckily there is a taxi offer us a lift for free. The hostel is like typical Japanese style hostel: wooded made, shared bath room but I can't find basin for ... wat mensen zeggen » washing face. The beds are clean and comfy. We stayed in 4-p dorm room. There are bikes and i think for free (I don't see rent cost) you can borrow hi - a small hostel which is located conveniently for access to the mountains. good food and access to a wonderful onsen in the hotel next door.

  This is a perfect place, exceptional experience Japanese style. In fact it's a spa with accommodation possibility rather than a hotel, and it's great, because you don't have a huge room with hundreds capsules, but much more pleasant smaller areas of 8 or 12 of them. Especially liked that you can access spa area 24 hours from arrival, so even after... wat mensen zeggen » you have left the capsule (which you can occupy till 3 pm!) you can still stay at the property and access the saunas and baths. Staff speaks no Engli - I totally recommend this hotel. The people working there were really nice and kept my luggages with no problem. I was a two minutes walk away from one of the sites of the Yuki Matsuri. The hotel's beds were comfortable, with tv, radio, alarm clock and a miror, and you could use the baths and beauty products of the Spa as much as you wanted to. The capsules were cleaned everyday. For the price I paid, I thought the service was excellent.

  The man I met (probably the owner) was very courteous and helpful and was able to attend to all of my questions. Everything seemed clean and in working order. - Nice little Guesthouse very close to the railstation. Big japanese room for a fair price!
