  This was my second stay at Magome Cheya and, again, I appreciated it's charming and convenient location. The breakfast was also tasty and so reasonably priced. I particularly appreciated our warm and helpful reception from management...even though we had arrived around 9pm due to a connection problem back at Ise. Transport is the area is quite convenient during the day, however the two taxis we need - The well-reserved country side, its location and the teahouse were what I planned to be staying in while ever travelling in Japan. Magome Teahouse served me the purpose and its hostess (Ms. Jeng) spokes excellent English and so helped me, a solo traveller, a great deal, for which please extend my gratitude to her.I even could do my morning walking around Magome's village for an hour or so.

  Lovely little Ryoken where board covers dinner and breakfast as well. By this we mean you get a huge spread of different things in the traditional Japanese style, easily one of the best meals we had in our whole month in Japan. As a young couple it was one of the more expensive places we stayed, but well worth it. Lovely owners and great location ... wat mensen zeggen » for the Samurai Walk. Definitely stay Magome over Tsumago!! - Tajimaya was a great place to stay in Magome. The owner is more than kind and very willing to share his culture with his guests. The room was large, the futons very comfortable, and the food was just amazing. The inn is very clean and tidy and we felt at complete ease. We really enjoyed learning a traditional dance and song in the evening as well. I would highly recommend Tajimaya.
