  I've been to Venice many times but never before managed to secure a reservation at the Pensione Accademia. As iconic in its class as the Cipriani or Danieli at the top end, it is famous for the charm of the staff, helpful and smiling service, perfection of the location, beautiful gardens with tables and chairs and even sunloungers, the generosity ... wat mensen zeggen » of the breakfasts and cicchieti offered with drinks, comfortable and well-provisioned rooms (a kettle! In Venice!!). I promise you, its all true! The - The best thing here is the receptionists. They were extremely helpful and courteous. Thank you very much Adriano and Massimo. There was no noise at all and I was able to sleep well. I don't know how it sounds in the holiday season, though. The hotel is not far away from St. Mark. You can walk or take take ?bus" to it. By "the bus" stop Academia is a small restaurant owned by a family from Tunisia. Amany was a great hostess there.

Rather than repeat all the advantages of staying here frequently referred to in other reviews, I would like to emphasise the quiet elegance of this hotel.   My husband I booked a 1-bed apartment. Due to the unexpected snow and high tide this apartment wasn't available so we were upgraded to Ca'Paradiso a 2-bed apartment overlooking the canal.   The staff is helpful--Silvia, in particular, was a super, unfailing resource for information about shopping and restaurants. The location is terrific--right near the Accademia and its important vaporetto stop, and just across the bridge from the busy and more crowded San Marco area. I enjoyed the fact that the hotel was so close to the action with... wat mensen zeggen » out being overly noisy at night. - Very friendly staff and clean room. Very comfortable beds .The breakfast was also very good and on informing the staff I was coeliac before visiting they were happy to accommodate me with wheat free bread free of charge. The location was excellent a few minutes from the accadamia bridge and waterbus. I would certainly stay there again and also recommend this hotel.

  The location in the neighbourhood of the Salute church is ideal. When arriving with the vaporetto at the stops of Academia or Zattere, you can go with your luggage trolley to this B&B without CLIMBING over one bridge, just roll ! The street is residential and excessively quiet. This B&B is situated in a small old Palazzo, beautyfully furni... wat mensen zeggen » shed. The reception by the lady of the house was very friendly and ...she helps you with the luggage over the (steep) stairs ! The room and the bathro - Probably the nicest place my girlfriend and I stayed at during our trip through Italy. (Admittedly, we were traveling on a budget and mostly renting through airbnb.) This is a true B&B, with Massimo and his wife coming in the morning to make us coffee. They were very friendly, telling us to make ourselves at home and opening up the various cakes and pastries in the kitchen. Venice is expensive, but Ca' Santo Spirito was fairly good value for city.
