  We stayed at Relais De L'Opera for our honeymoon in Rome and it was an excellent choice. We were contacted in advance and offered various options for a transfer to the hotel from the airport, and chose a private driver who was there and waiting for us. Located about 100 meters from the Spanish Steps and a comfortable 2.5 km walk from both the Vatican and colleseum this hotel is quiet (good double glazed and sound proofed windows) and only comprises 5 rooms. Don't have breakfast in your room, venture dow - My husband & I recently stayed at Les Fleurs and were thoroughly impressed with the design, the large rooms and most importantly the service. It's a small 5 bedroom boutique so it was an intimate stay and the staff was more than accomodating. The rooms & bathrooms are extremely spacious and modern. The breakfast was great with a lot of options, and eggs made to order. Location could not have been more convenient! We arrived by train & it was a short two block walk to the hotel. Just

  The reason I chose this hotel was the fabulous location - when in Rome,I spend most of my time at the ancient monuments, and this place is right at the bottom of the via Cavour, literally a minute or two from the Roman and Imperial Fora. I had a deluxe room and it was lovely - faciltities were good, nice shower, tv, safe, fridge - all you would ne... wat mensen zeggen » ed. Everything was clean and though the style of decor would, for some, probably be a little out of date, I thought it was quite charming. Note though - Once we arrived the staff was prompt and happy to greet us. Though we didn't speak Italian they spoke enough English to communicate perfectly. The stay was great, we decided we needed to stay a second night without booking it and they ensured me it wasn't a problem offering me the same rate. Ana Paola and Luigi were extremely polite and helpful. The location is right dead in the heart of Ancient Rome, absolutely amazing for the price. Tons of restaurants and bars close as well.

Avoid any restaurants near the Piazza, the food is awful and over priced, instead opt for the cafes/restaurants located down the side streets near the hotel - you won't be disappointed. They made us feel coming back to Rome and this B&B again. When I asked some questions, they gave me more than I expected. The location was just around Navona where local people came and enjoyed restaurants and bars! We could find great restaurants and a super market just a few minutes from B&B. There are some buses pass by the main street near B&B, so we came back from Piazza Venice and Termini station by bus. It took only 1.5 Euro and 15 - 20 mins. What I lik
