  Very clean and comfortable. Good value for money - Friendly,good food, the property could use a few upgrades in the room, the shower was very small and the water pressure was too low.   This was a lovely property surrounded by vineyards and olive trees. We had a family (2 bedroom) apartment which was well laid out. The kitchen was old but ok. The owners and staff were very welcoming and friendly and it was a pleasure sharing meals (and lots of wine) with other guests in the evenings. Breakfast was lovely. The whole atmosphere is ... wat mensen zeggen » delightful, and we really enjoyed meeting and chatting with other travellers. Our daughter had a riding lesson which was great fun. Sadly it wasn't wa - We spent 2 nights and wish it had been longer. Perfect get away. Owner kindly lent us their bikes to roam around the vineyards and beautiful countryside, we took a cooking class which was lovely. Their own produced wine was great, the atmosphere friendly and the food was non stop. All round pleasure. Oh not to mention they have a pool! Highly recommended and we will return.

  A wonderful old manor house restored in a theatrical style of drapes and paintings. The current owners couldn't be more open and helpful - Alessandro has a wealth of knowledge of the history of the town and the region despite being there for less than a year. He has also set up the wine museum on display in the hotel cellars. We were made to feel completely at home such that in the even - Montecarlo is a charming walled village with a number of very good restaurants. One fine dining restaurant is in the Michelin guide, the Pizzeria on the terrace overlooking the countryside is great and so is the little Trattoria. We felt very welcome from the moment we arrived and the hosts were really helpful. The room was great, furnishings are classic and there are antique pieces in the various public rooms, we also liked the artistic touches with flowers and furnishings painted onto walls.

  David Papi was an extraordinary host. He was always exquisitely friendly and helpful when figuring out day trips around the area. The restaurant was the biggest surprise.
