  The hotel is barely two minutes' walk from the train station, and five minutes from the town centre. It is modern, clean and well kept, with very polite and helpful staff. The room was rather small but well air-conditioned (the weather was very hot during our stay), very clean and had everything needed for an overnight stop.   We stayed in SGV for 7 nights and we really enjoyed the place. The pool was awasome with a great view. Bungalows were clean and spaciuos. The whole staff was very friendly and helpful. The food and coffee was very tasty. Children loved the swimming pool and the playground. We arrived ragged after much travelling and wheeling bags to the hotel, to find a warm welcome at reception and an immediate offer to make us two fine cups of coffee, which we accepted with alacrity. The room was simple but comfortable. Breakfast buffet extensive and good quality, excellent coffee from the adjacent bar. Very friendly staff. But note they are closing for three months over the wintter and upgrading the whole hotel, so it may become 'luxury' rather than good quality three star, with higher prices to match

  Wonderful situation and lovely in the autumn. Marvellous grounds, access to the lake, lots of different places to walk and to enjoy the views.Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very peaceful, but walk outside the grounds into Sirmioneand there's lots of activity ! - the Villa Cortine is an outstanding place to simply relax and enjoy life.   Ideal location in the most relaxed town on lake como. We could not have asked for a better stay. We managed to get room 26 which had 2 balconies overlooking the lake. The room was large and had everything we needed for 2 days. The staff were friendly and the breakfast one of the best. The galati, amazing, and we would highly recomme - Hotel Olivedo is a lovely hotel that sits right at the edge of Lake Como. The rooms are large, clean and very comfortable. The staff were very nice and helpful with local knowledge/information. The hotel is a real mix of modern upgrade with an authentic Italian feel. When you wake in the morning, you open the french doors to look out to an absolutely breathtaking view of the lake.( I still think about that view!)   This was a great hotel at only a few minutes form the airport Malpensa in Milan. We wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed the country. Evne though we were a few minutes form the airport the villa is in the middle of rural country. We ate 2 of the bests diner in all our stay in Italy.   The location is spectacular - our room had a balcony overlooking the lake - wonderful. The evening meal was memorable with the"help yourself" brandy/liqueur/malt trolley totally unique! - very modern and nice room and bathroom with balcony, fantastic view. great restaurant and wounderful very friendly family service. great for motorbikes too.
