  Everything. From the time we arrived we were made very welcome and special. The rooms were fantastic, Decor, bathrooms, bedrooms and the fully equipped kitchen. Air con was working the whole time we were there and was needed. Location was brilliant and as described, a short walk from the lake, 50m max. We had the Chocolate room and the red room ... wat mensen zeggen » which were conveniently located next to each other on the first floor and connected by a balcony. The small village of Malgratte had everything we ne - We had 2 apartments The apartment on the ground floor is massive, stunning and worth every penny, lovely pool that our kids and us enjoyed a lot. Very cool decor. In the evening time we sat on the veranda for aperitivos and the light from the pool and around was very nice. Good cooking facilities. Purple room nice but much more plain but nice views over mountains. All was very clean, fresh and very good location in front of Lake. Owner very nice.

  We stayed here for 5 mights and loved the location, right on the main square with its restaurants and markets and very close to the public transport facilities (2 min walk to the bus stop, 5-7 min walk from the ferries). The rooms were a little old fashioned but very spacious and more than comfortable. We did not have a lake facing room but the v... wat mensen zeggen » iews even from our balcony were very pleasing. The hosts were excellent and accomodative - we had to leave early morning for 2 of the days and they al - Excellent location, fabulous lake view from balcony. Rooms extremely clean. Great base to discover the lake. Really enjoyed having breakfast on our balcony. Friendly and helpful staff, especially Michaela. Superb food in the restaurant directly below the rooms.Would definitely return. Top tip - Flew into Milan then used shuttle bus to Milan train station, then train to Varenna, then ferry across to Menaggio - sounds tricky but it isn't - and so much cheaper!!!

  Perfect location - in the centre of shopping streets and squares, many bars and restaurants, room was well equiped, good breakfast (we can eat anytime because it was prepared in the room). There was fast wifi internet and TV, nice restaurant under the hostel (you can have 10% discount as a hostel guest).   Lovely place! Great village to stay in, slopes nearby, "brand-new" hotel, very comfortable, nice balcony, tasty interiors, good breakfast. They take credit cards which is not common case in Italy. We will go there again. - tremendous views, excelent slopes, great staff, very nice people
