  The location was excellent! right next to the Spanish Stairs - close to everything and a beautiful place. Even when we got back from a party at night - this area felt really safe. The owner of the hotel, Mauro, was very kind and helpful, if you are not sure of what to do or where to eat - he is the man to ask. The Innkeeper goes above and beyond to help his guests with anything they need, even in My case a small loan of euros until I could get to a bank. The place is small by us standards but similar to other rome locations. Its' location is excellent just a few yards from spagna Square ( Spanish Steps) and close to dining and shopping.   Brilliant location, ALL sights in Rome within walking distance, 5 minute walk from Trastvere which is a lovely and romantic area with loads of nice restaurants & bars. Comfortable beds and nice bathroom. Nice breakfast served in a different hotel, 3 min walk from Little Queen. However, we could have helped our selves to a simple breakfast at ... wat mensen zeggen » Little Queen so it was all up to us. The brothers who own the B&B's are extremely helpful and charming. Don't expect a massive and bright room - b - Firstly, the location was second to none. A 5mn walk to the Pantheon, a 15mn walk to the Colliseum, and a 20mn walk to Vatican City. U do not need to use public transport if you stay here. Secondly, the host Simone was a very gracious man. Very helpful with advice and booking tickets etc. Lastly, the breakfast was the best we ever had in Italy by far. As well as the usual bread, cheese, salami, pastries we actually got cereal and they even cooked us an omelette every morning. Highly recommend B

  Hotel Clarisse is lovely. Simple rooms but clean and comfortable. However it's the staff that make it a great hotel. They go out of their way to help you with your traveling plans around Rome and make you feel welcome. Sergio in particular was wonderful to us. He told us about an amazing local restaurant, found last minute tour to the Vatican, and... wat mensen zeggen » even accompanied me to a shoe repair to help translate. I would stay here again simply for the service. - The hotel staff were all very nice and extremely helpful. They assisted with setting up tours and transportation. They even packed our breakfast to go, since our tour departed before the restaurant opened. We didn't spend much time in the room other than to shower and sleep, but the rooms were comfortable with good air conditioning (August!) and doors that opened to the courtyard. We were able to walk to many of the major sites. It was lovely.

Breakfast is very simple continental style - a coffee and croissant. Ernesto, who is on duty during the day, is always cheerful and very helpful. It is in a very central position for walking - 5 minutes to the Pantheon, 15 minutes to the Pal - - amazing location just in front of historical site, which was directly observed from the window! - extremely nice and helpful staff who made our stay perfect - great value for money in the centre of Rome - nice breakfast especially compared to expectations of just basic stuff with coffee and croissant - we received free welcoming sparkling wine several times! - all facilities are very well preserved and even exceed some 5 stars hotels I've stayed in Europe
